Ah, the countryside of Cádiz... with mountainous landscape trails, nature reserves and the highly good looking Pueblos Blancos/White Towns of Andalusia glittering on hillsides into the distance...
You might gather that a Cádiz campsite by the name of Camping Pueblo Blanco would be in the centre of much of this Andalusian excellency. And how right you'd be, for it's at the tip of the 'White towns route' near the small town of Olvera – and in the vicinity of the Via Verde de la Sierra, the 36km hiking, horse riding and cycling trail. It's a countryside park – naturally – and has stacks of stuff on site to let guests make the most of these great outdoors.
Camping Pueblo Blanco's facilities and activities are managed and operated from its recently restored Andalusian farmhouse and the adjoining nineteenth century stables and outhouses. The team here has carefully managed the restoration to keep the structure and Cádiz character of the buildings, especially in the bar and restaurant which now has an Andulusian patio for soaking up sun and mucho local cuisine. Bread, basic groceries and a good range of local products can be picked up at the restaurant shop.
Also on site – we like the sound of this too – is an adventure area for all ages with suspended Tibetan rope bridges and climbing and abseiling activities, open in the summer months; a sports court for football and basketball, and, for the kids, a roomy playground with a slide, swings and see-saw as well as an indoor playroom with drawing and colouring activities and games including giant chess.
Camping Pueblo Blanco also has an outdoor pool, next to the main building and open from May to October (weather permitting): you're pretty certain to want to drink in the Cádiz countryside views from here too.

Local attractions
The lovely local town of Olvera is Camping Pueblo Blanco's closest and was fortified during the Border Wars, when it belonged to the estate of the Dukes of Osuna.
Its two best known historical sites are at its highest points, the neoclassical eighteenth century Archpriest Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation, and the twelfth/thirteenth century Moorish castle, which like the church stands overlooking Olvera's buildings and surrounding countryside.
But the main must in these parts is Los Pueblos Blancos or the White Towns of Andalusia, the towns and villages within the region's mountain range that are whitewashed by residents and which cluster towards the mountain tops.
Olvera is the main town on the trail, but take time to also see Puerto de las Palomas, another main town at Grazalema, and the highest White Town Villaluenga del Rosario.
