Local attractions
This is a fabulous rural location, and one you’ll certainly want to explore in some way or other – have a chat to the team on site for tips on hiking trails, cycle routes and particularly scenic spots to seek out, or to sign up for one of their activities (including things like horse riding, ATV drives and foraging outings).
There are lots of lovely quiet trails and viewpoints to try out nearby, but you can also use this place as a base for some of the area’s big hitters, such as the Solkan Bridge (20 minutes’ drive), Soča Fun Park (25 minutes) and Tolmin Gorge (50 minutes). You can also dip into the area’s history with trips to the The State Border Museum in Goriška (25 minutes) and Rihemberk Castle (45 minutes).
A slightly longer drive (around 50 minutes) will take you down to the coast, crossing over the border into Italy for some time around the beaches and fishing villages of the Adriatic coast.
