About five minutes’ drive from Bussière-Galant and surrounded by the scenery of the Périgord-Limousin Natural Park, this site is part of a leisure park that’s packed with things to do: without leaving the area you can swim, fish or paddleboard on the lake, play mini golf, ride the miniature train or climb up into the treetops for a high ropes course and ziplines across the lake.
Back at ground level there’s also a football pitch and multisports court for a bit of competitive activity, plus a lake beach area for those who’d rather relax and read a book. Other facilities to make life nice and easy include a restaurant, shops and the food trucks that visit every evening in high season. Summer also sees the Festihermeline event, which stages live music on site.
Heading out, there are plenty of great hiking trails nearby, along with the chance to cycle along mountain bike trails or an easygoing voie verte route. Châteaux and farm parks are also within easy reach, or you could spend some time wandering around the city of Limoges, checking out its medieval heritage and porcelain centres.
Accommodation here is in well-equipped caravans, all of which have a kitchen, bathroom and air conditioning as well as an outdoor deck with table, lounge chairs and barbecue for alfresco evenings.
