Liked Exceptional friendly welcome. Facilities clean and good….toilets, showers, motorhome service points. Good size level pitches with hedges between offering some privacy.

Liked Leafy and private individual camping pitches. Large, clean and functional toilet and shower block. Friendly, helpful staff.
The site is only a short walk from Bourges town centre.

Disliked There was nothing wrong with the site at all. I really liked it.

Liked Lovely stay, we stopped here for one night on our way further south. Great spot. Easy to walk into Bourges centre. Check-in was easy. Facilities were clean.

Disliked Could do with a few extra showers to reduce the queueing time.

Liked This is a lovely site, very clean and ran by a lovely couple. They had a pizza van who came on site and the pizza was out of this world and really quite cheap, it also has a little shop which sells beer, wine and milk.

Liked Clean & well laid out site within walking distance (15-20 mins) of the town of Bourges. The bathroom facilities were functional but a little tired. The pitches were of a good size with hedges between some, hard standing pitches fitted 2 vehicles on each one but this was fine as the pitch size accommodated this & each pitch had electricity & water. Bourges is a lovely place to visit and this site is fine for an overnight stay.

Disliked Bathroom facilities a little tired.

Local attractions

There’s much to see in central Bourges, including a gorgeous Gothic cathedral (UNESCO listed and bearing a passing resemblance to Paris’s Notre-Dame in places) and more than 400 half-timbered houses. If you’re here in summer it’s well worth taking a wander after dusk when clever lighting creates interesting effects on several buildings. Head south for 20 minutes or so on foot (or five minutes pedalling your bike) to get to Val d’Auron lake for days spent sailing, rowing or fishing on the lake, or playing waterside games of golf or tennis. There’s also a riding centre down here for pony rides and riding lessons. Those fond of a tipple or two will do well out of a day spent in and around Sancerre, a 45-minute drive from the site, pottering around the vineyards, sampling the famed crisp whites and nibbling on the local Crottin de Chavignol goats’ cheese.
