Liked The location. The flat pitch and the immaculately mown grass.

Disliked I don’t understand how you can advertise as an overnight touring stop with no toilet facilities on site. We were in a camper van with a bucket and we weren’t the only ones. If you have a mobile home or caravan with a toilet then no problem. Obviously, I should have read the small print, but I have never been on a ‘campsite’ with no toilet or washing facilities, which charges £31 for a hard standing pitch +electric, but has luxury cabins for hire?! More fool me!

From the manager: There are plenty of certified locations in the UK offering chemical waste disposal facilities and not toilets. Our site is an outstanding site loved by many other guests, I'm sorry that this particular guest was disappointed by no toilets onsite but this could have been avoided if they had taken the time to read our listing properly before booking.

Nice, flat pitches with EHU. Composting elsan point, fresh water.

Liked Beautiful, quiet site. Great for coastal walks. No facilities but EHU so is probably easier to book as most people with motorhomes are reluctant to use their own toilets and showers. Perfect for off-grid holiday.

Disliked Having to go home. 😂

Liked Peaceful and immaculately clean. Pitch was clearly marked with my name so didn't have to wait to find someone to show me. Just a short drive from the ferry port at Holyhead. Only a few metres from the coast path.

Liked The scenery is breathtaking and the walks around the cliffs are spectacular.
The pitch was level and extremely clean and well kept.
The owners were welcoming and informative regarding the surrounding area.

Disliked What would make this site perfect would be if toilets and showers could be included, but as it’s an area of outstanding beauty we understand this isn’t always possible.
The only issue we had was that we had difficulty accessing the WiFi, but it wasn’t too much of an issue as we enjoyed the surroundings.

Local attractions

It’s all about the coast, isn’t it? The coast path passes very close by here, so you'll be able to walk to sandy Porth Dafarch beach in about 20 minutes or to the famous South Stack Lighthouse (a great birdwatching location as well as a popular sunset spot) in around 40 minutes. Trearddur Bay (10 minutes' drive) is another local favourite, with rockpools and a gently sloping sandy beach that’s great for swimming. Set your sights a little further afield for other coastal spots like Rhosneigr (25 minutes), Church Bay (half an hour) and Ynys Llanddwyn (45 minutes), reached via a walk through the pine forest. Although the coast path has many miles of stunning scenery, walkers may also like to head inland for trails through the colourful landscapes of Parys Mountain (40 minutes). Other Anglesey outings? How about snapping pics of the world's longest railway sign at Llanfairpwllgwyngyll (half an hour), exploring the Grade I-listed Plas Newydd House and Gardens (35 minutes) or visiting the unfinished Beaumaris Castle (45 minutes)? You could also head back over to the mainland to walk in Eryri National park (40 minutes) or visit Conwy Castle (50 minutes).
