  • Small quiet Flintshire farm site a mile from Northop
  • Chester, Talacre beach and Moel Famau within a half-hour drive
  • Meet the site's alpacas and buy fresh eggs from the free-range hens
If you prefer the personal vibe of a small family-run site rather than a lively holiday park, you’ll be in your element at The Little Bitty Farm and Campsite. There’s only a small number of pitches at this Flintshire farm site – although you will have to share the place with the resident alpacas and the flock of around 40 free-range hens, plus an assortment of local wildlife (rabbits, ducks and the odd red kite among them). This is a place that's all about peaceful rural stays, with quiet hours and dark skies initiatives in place to ensure all guests can relax and enjoy these lovely surroundings. It’s set on a quiet lane, so you won't be bothered by traffic – but the main road is just a few minutes’ walk away, where you can hail a bus or walk the mile to the nearest village, Northop (which has a handy shop as well as three pubs serving food). Despite the serene rural atmosphere, this is a handy location indeed for getting out to explore the area. The towns Mold and Flint are both within an easy 10-minute drive, and the A55 North Wales Expressway is less than a mile away for journeys further afield. Within half an hour's drive you could be visiting castles, walking up the area's highest hill, hitting the beach, ambling through the forest or touring the historic streets of Chester. Back on site you'll have access to simple facilities including toilets, showers and a chemical disposal point, and you’ll be able to say hello to any friendly locals that drop by to tend their allotments next door. There are usually eggs for sale from the farm's hens.

Liked: We have just arrived home from our overnight stay in the pop up tent all we can say is AMAZING! Our children are 2 and 4, have came home begging to go back said it was the best holiday they had been on, beautiful campsite the work the owners have done to make this business is nothing short of outstanding, clean facilities, owners are so welcoming and friendly, animals for the children to see llamas and chickens and the lovely farm dog mocha, it was our first time camping and when I came accross this site and pop up tent it was the perfect solution, I would urge everyone out there if your thinking about camping start here on litty bitty farm, I’ve recommended this place to everyone I know friends and family as we have had the most amazing time, lots of amazing local pubs and places surrounding the campsite very scenic and quiet, plenty of space for the kids to play, they have a beautiful pond they have built, and we finished our weekend away of at Chester zoo which was only 20 minutes away, thanks a lot guys we will definitely be returning, use should be so proud of your business and what you have created here at little bitty farm we have left very very happy customers 💗

Unpowered grass tent site (small)

Liked: The grounds, the lay out, the set up is great. We stayed on the first opening weekend. The pool/lake that has been put in looks great for the wild swimmer. There is a communal indoor area where you can use the microwave, kettle, and fridge. All fantastic additions that you do not usually get at similar site. Darren and Kelly, the hosts are real nice people. Darren told us of his future plans, and showed us around the entire site. He introduced us to the alpacas, and chickens, fantastic! We bought some freshly laid "Real" free range eggs. On the Sunday we walked into the nearest town, a mile or do a way. Not a great deal there, but nice. A church, a post office shop? Two pubs, plus a cricket club. We stumbled across a live band playing at The Boot "The Bright Light" who where brilliant. We also visited the Northop Golf Club. There is a nice pub/restaurant onside called The Celtic Arms. We ate a lovely Sunday roast there. My advice would be to visit this new little family run campsite, as we will definitely be returning in the near future. It has tents already set up there as well that you can hire out. We really look forward to returning and seeing even more progress to the site, as these owners are so enthusiastic, welcoming and hard working. They deserve everything they get. We loved it, oh, and the wether was kind. It's a quiet little site, but not at all far from the main road and connections.

Disliked: We did not dislike anything. However, it will be even better when the shower block is open, Darren is just waiting on the planning. They do have a portacabin shower set up, which is spotless and does the trick. No problem! Worked fine for us.
