What customers say
A welcoming, tidy park with good value. Guests loved the spacious pitches, clean facilities, nearby Dyserth Waterfall, and helpful staff. The cafe and bar were a hit, as was the animal rescue support. Minor gripes were outweighed by strong recommendations and repeat visits.

A beautiful picturesque site with a lovely family atmosphere
Power optional grass site
Liked Absolutely loved camping here with the family. Have stayed a few times before in a 2 man tent with the eldest and have always found it nice and peaceful but staying with the family was really amazing. Firstly thanks to Marj for being so welcoming and lovely. She was really helpful and it felt like the site was well cared for, she even drove round each morning with a giant sweet bucket for the kids, it felt like a proper family atmosphere. The site itself is in a stunning little location with beautiful surrounding views of the hills around Dyserth. We were mostly lucky with the weather and with the site being really open and spacious, it was lovely siting outside our tent each evening whilst the kids went off and played on the park. This was another bonus, the park is in the centre of the campsite on site 1 and so the kids can go off and play for hours and you can keep your eye on them, never had that at any campsite before, we found it brilliant!
The facilities were great, simple and basic but thats exactly what we love when camping. Toilets/showers/pot wash/water stations etc, were all spotless and working well.
I would highly reccomend staying at this site, we had an absolutely wonderful time and it felt very homely and peaceful during our stay. We shall be back on our next trip definitely!
Disliked Nothing to dislike whatsoever.

Liked nothing
Disliked booked last minute, they wouldn’t let us on the site as i didn’t have my dogs vaccination card, which when i read terms and conditions i understood but the woman was very very rude !! wouldn’t refund us or nothing, after driving 3 hours left us stranded in wales would not recommend!

From the manager: I was not rude but as you were not the person who made the booking or the dogs owner & I had already explained to the young lady who booked and was the dogs owner and she had accepted the reason why I refused admission, as she admitted not reading the T&C on Pitchup or on our email confirmation.
You came into reception shouting demanding a refund as the T&C were broken no refunds are due, the booking was for 3 young adults & a dog for 1 night I think you have caused a fuss were non was required. Visitors starts earned 0*
The T&C for dogs arriving on site are clearly stated}
Please don’t blame the staff if you don’t read our T&C
2. Upon arrival, proof of an up-to-date vaccine is required for your pet to stay on-site. This requirement protects both our pet visitors and the rescue dogs from illness. For safety, dogs must always be on a lead while on our premises.
Good site with decent facilities friendly staff fair prices

From the manager: Thanks for the very nice review we are really pleased you enjoyed our site & facilities. We are very convenient for local access to Rhyl, Prestatyn and if you don't want to use the car there is a local bus route and the trains into Chester or Llandudno. Until next time happy camping and safe travels.

Cheap and cheerful place would def go back if in that area again.
Unpowered grass site
Liked Easy to book very last minute easy check in and lovely site and people who work hard and raise some funds for pet charity.
10 mins drive to coast.
Very peaceful level pitches which were all grass, with a few having ehu, grounds were kept very well and clean.
Met a few other friendly guests that return regularly.
At weekends has a little cost bar and food van that open for a few hours.
Disliked Only downside (which was not a problem for us but maybe for others) can't fill tank up with water and can only use portaloos at night time on second site.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Hi it was very nice to meet you, we are pleased you had a pleasant stay sadly we cant fill motorhome water tanks as we are on a water meter but we can fill hand hels or roller barrels water, as most people will eventually be on meters it will become apparent cost wise why we cant afford to fill tank on the price we charge.
The portaloo's on site 2 are for night time convenance but you are still able to walk over to the flushing toilet that are illuminated all night if you don't want to use your own facilities. We hope your next visit may be fore longer than one night and you will be very welcome until then safe travels and happy camping in your home from home
regards. We are pleased you found our regular campers friendly that's always a joy
