Experience we will never forget

Liked Beautiful campsite, the views are amazing. Welcoming friendly owners. I would have definitely returned to the campsite again in the future for its beauty.
Disliked Got to add we was the only people left on the campsite on a Monday night and we experienced something we will never forget, we didn’t believe it ourselves until it happened but we saw a glimpse of a big cats eyes outside the tent then heard it heavily breathing just a couple of steps away and wen I made a sudden movement to pick up my baby it pounced and began circling the tent, so fast it there could of been more than one, it seemed we was being stalked surrounded by the animal from all sides of the tent. Then We also heard the big cats fighting my partner said this could have been its cubs. We have since researched puma sounds we are convinced the breathing and fighting sounds we heard are a puma.
We have lived in wales for many years and are frequent travellers of the countryside camping out but have never heard or experienced anything like this before. Just want to make people aware of our experience of this wild animal.

From the manager: Hi thank you for your kind words and high score despite your fright!! I suspect it was a family of badgers - they make strange noises when play fighting!!

Liked Everything….!
Lovely welcome from Iona on arrival and a perfect pitch under the shade of a huge tree. Plenty of space for us to set up our camper and sun canopy. Toilet and shower rooms are lovely and immaculately clean. So peaceful and quiet with a lovely pub a 20 minute walk away. Only half an hour away from home for us but we could have been a million miles away.
Thank you for a lovely stay. We will be back for longer next time 😊

Liked We had the most amazing weekend at Plas Dolben, the family are so friendly and so helpful. They told us about the food and drink festival, which was good and whilst we was there, we ended up doing the prison tour which was fab. We also really enjoyed the walk and being able to be close to the animals and stroking the gorgeous horses. We also tried the amazing sausages, we enjoyed them so much we took two packs back home. The views were absolutely amazing and it was just so peaceful, we had the best time, it was just what we needed and we will certainly be coming back next summer with kids.
