There is indeed scenery to see when you stay at See da Scenery – and very fabulous it is too, because this quiet little site is set on a hillside in Mid Wales, with sweeping views across the surrounding green hills and farmland. It all forms a particularly gorgeous backdrop for a stay at this secluded wild camping spot, where it’s all about slowing down, leaving everyday life behind and taking some time to appreciate the natural world. With heaps of space but only a handful of guests (and some wild horses nearby), you’ll never feel crowded in while staying here. There are lovely views all around, but which one you get to wake up to is up to you – this is a pick-your-own-pitch setup so you can find the spot that sings to you the most. Minimal facilities (just a water tap, compost toilet and firepit) leave plenty of space to relax and look up into the open skies (as good by night as they are by way, thanks to a real lack of light pollution). Getting out to explore more of the area should be simple from here – there are plenty of great walking trails nearby, and the National Cycle Route 81 passes almost directly outside the site. However you travel, it’s worth stopping by in the local village, Caersws, three miles away, for its shops, cafés and pubs.
