  • Small, friendly family-run Ceredigion site two miles from Aberaeron
  • A 10-minute drive to New Quay; walk to the Ceredigion Coast Path
  • Sea views and stunning sunsets on site; dogs and kids welcome
Sea views, stunning sunsets, stacks of space and a splendidly relaxed vibe… what more could you want from a Ceredigion campsite? (If the answer’s ‘somewhere we can take the dogs and kids’, then you’ll be pleased to hear they’re both most welcome here.) Garth View is a place that’s got all of the above – this small family-run site looks out over a lovely valley with the sea in the distance, and it prides itself on offering a warm Welsh welcome to its guests. It’s a no-fuss setup here, favouring simple pleasures over lots of facilities, but it's possible to hire firepits and freeze ice packs and you'll have access to a converted container that houses two bathrooms (including hot-water showers, sinks and toilets), as well as two single toilets and separate washing area. The location here is a real winner too: Garth View is easily accessed from the A487, and it’s within walking distance of the Ceredigion Coast Path. The harbour town of Aberaeron, only two miles away, has plenty of places to eat. A 200-year-old pub which is dog-friendly and serves homecooked food is a 10-minute walk away too. The Moody Calf Play Barn, a venue with a play barn, farm shop, bistro, trampoline, foam pit and events venue is a 20-minute walk away. If you'd rather self cater, a couple of convenience stores are about five minutes’ walk away. The local launderette is a 10-minute walk away. Lots of the best-loved spots along the West Wales coast are within easy reach for days out: it’s a 10-minute drive to New Quay for wildlife-spotting boat trips or half an hour to Cardigan, a hub for watersports and other outdoorsy activities. The beaches of Llangrannog and Tresaith are about 20 minutes away, or you can venture a little further to Aberporth (25 minutes) or Mwnt (35 minutes). For a bigger town, head north to Aberystwyth in just over half an hour.

What customers say

Garth View is a peaceful spot with great sea views and sunsets. Guests love the super clean facilities, roomy showers, and Giovanna's warm welcome. It's handy for exploring and has a shop nearby. Road noise was mentioned but not a big deal for most. Electric hook-ups are coming soon.

Liked Friendly staff

Relaxing

Disliked Limited showers and toilets but only small site so didn't have to wait long.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your kind comments about the friendly welcome and hot showers—I’m glad you had a relaxing stay.
I appreciate your feedback on the facilities. The site has 20 pitches, with 15 in use during your visit, and while the showers aren’t new, I work hard to keep everything clean and running smoothly. I’m pleased there wasn’t any waiting during your stay.
I hope to welcome you back again soon. Kind regards Giovanna

Irma camping pod

Liked Spot on! Just spent 2 nights in their pod with my 4yr old son as part of our first motorbike "camping" trip. Pod was perfect for us! Comfortable double bed and a sofa that converts to another bed. Table inside with 2 chairs, coat hangers, lights, sockets and curtains. Outside you have a lovely raised decked area with a table/bench set-up and fire pit (we didnt use due to rain both evenings 😞). The host was very welcoming and happy. She showed us around, was open about pricing (for wood, fire starters etc.). The toilets and showers were very clean and worked as they should. There is a great little communal area with a fridge, freezer, microwave and kettle which was perfect for us. First night we walked to local morrisons (8min walk) and got some microwave meals and snacks. 2nd night we went to the local pub (The Red Lion) which was a 10min walk away - food was great, worth a trip!

Overall I would recommend this campsite, great host, great facilities, good views, easy access to shop/pub etc. We will be stopping by again! Thanks

Unpowered grass site

Liked Lovely little campsite, large pitches to give plenty of space to spread out. Close distance to both New Quay and Aberaeron. Showers, toilets etc all great. The best part for us was the lovely Giovanna…very friendly lady who made us feel very welcome. She also saved our day by offering us a lift into New Quay when we couldn't get a taxi in time and would have missed our boat trip. Cannot explain how grateful we were! We’ll definitely return when we’re in the area.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you so much for your kind words — I am absolutely delighted you had such a positive experience! It’s great to hear the spacious pitches and facilities hit the mark, and giving you a lift was absolutely no problem at all, happy I could be of help to save your boat trip.
I would love to welcome you back anytime you’re in the area. Until then, safe travels and happy adventures! Kind regards Giovanna

Unpowered grass site

Liked Stayed here for 4 nights as a couple with our dog. Giovanni was so friendly and welcoming, never had such a warm welcome whilst camping before. The facilities here have been really thought out which is lovely, even providing a room with plug sockets, fridge/freezer and microwave. 2 bathrooms as well as separate toilets were really nice also, all a very close walk from pitches and kept very clean. Lovely sunsets and views and a very peaceful stay. We've been camping a lot over the last few years and this is up there with one of our favourite sites. Location is perfect for exploring too and within a 5/10 minutes walk from a local supermarket. Will definitely be back here

From the manager: Absolutely thrilled to read your review — thank you so much for sharing your experience!
It’s wonderful to hear that we made such a warm impression and that the facilities added real comfort to your stay. I am so glad you appreciated the thoughtful touches like the utility room and the clean, convenient bathrooms. Sounds like your dog had a peaceful little holiday too!
The sunsets, the views, the quiet — it all sounds idyllic. Knowing this site ranks among your favourites after years of camping means the world. We’ll be ready to welcome you back whenever you’re ready for another escape. Kind regards Giovanna
