What customers say
A lovely, peaceful stop on the NC500, praised for Mandy and Pete's welcoming nature. Spotless facilities and great views. Lacks grey water disposal/dishwashing, though improvements are planned. Highly recommended for a chilled break.

Small and perfect
Powered concrete and grass motorhome site
Liked Really pleasant remote small niche site. Family run small holding with 3 pitches and 2 cabins. No grey waste but all other facilities are fine. Enjoy the animal menagerie too!
Disliked Shower water could be hotter.

From the manager: Hi Richard, thanks for the review, sorry the showers were not hot enough, it's not been mentioned before so I will look at that. Hope the rest of your journey is fantastic.
Excellent, clean, warm and cosy!
Cabin
Liked Fantastic lodge with lots of space in and out (compared to the camper van we were in on other nights). This lodge was a great break on the NC500, night 3 of our trip. We are a family of 4 and were travelling with a dog too. The Windy Roost was a perfect spot surrounded by goats, donkeys, sheep and ducks. We all loved it and would absolutely recommend it to others on the trip!

Excellent owners, site and special quirks of being a working farm.
Powered concrete and grass motorhome site
Liked Friendliest owners yet on our trip and probably won’t beat them. Lovely site and loved the quirks of being a working farm. We stayed the night of storm Dave and all was good. Loved the goats in the pen at front of van who entertained me for hours. WiFi was best yet too.

Clean, comfy and welcoming
Cabin
Liked The cabin was in a brilliant location, hosts were friendly and welcoming. The animals were a special extra! The beds were comfy, all items needed included and it was spotlessly clean. Wish we could have stayed for longer.

Perfect stop over on your travels
Powered concrete and grass motorhome site
Liked Everything. Lovely hosts. Only have three pitches and two cabins so very peaceful. Stunning views. Lovely, immaculate toilet sink and shower.
We had sheep in front of us, ducks wandering around and gorgeous donkeys right behind our pitch. One was only five weeks old. We couldn’t have wanted anything more. Will definitely call again when traveling to Scotland.
Disliked Absolutely nothing. A beautiful sunset would have been amazing. Perfect position for it but unfortunately too cloudy. Perhaps next time ❤️
