Liked Amazing location for camping.
In the mist of a forest, feels like wild camping but better.
Great spots to pitch tents with amazing views.
But also small hut to get water, tea coffee, toilet, etc.
Hike to the lake in the mountain is fantastic, finding your way along sheep trails makes it feel like a real adventure.
Staff super friendly and welcoming, made it delightful to stay.
Would recommend, would love to come back.
Disliked Beware at dusk, there were a lot of midges and if you are sensitive to them, they will get you. Maybe some bug spray would be advised.
Also there are a couple of ditches on the road when driving the car, be advised to take them slow to not damage your car.

Liked The owner and manager couldn't have been more helpful on our stay here honestly couldn't have met 2 nicer gentleman, they informed us on beautiful hikes and places to eat and even helped set our tent when we had a bit of struggle in the wind , crottys lake is located on the camp site once you drive to the gate it's about 500 meters of a walk. Beautiful scenery and a real sense of wild camping with permission

Fully-serviced grass and gravel tent site (no pets)
Liked Fantastic trip start to finish. The host was an absolute gentleman who had great knowledge about the area, its history. The site itself had all the facilties we would have expected and needed. The grounds were well maintained and its obvious a lot of care has gone into the place. Oh great value too!
Disliked Nit-picky note: I know it's difficult to do but maybe it could be signposted a bit better?

Bisher der schönste Campingplatz auf unserer Reise.
Fully-serviced grass and gravel tent site (no pets)

Fully-serviced grass and gravel tent site (no pets)
Liked Absolutely beautiful location and the owner could not have been nicer, he was incredibly helpful. The hike to the lake was stunning (be aware it is about a 35 min steep uphill to get there, with half of it being without much of a trail). Fire pits were available as well as coffee/tea station. Toilet was clean with plenty of soap and toilet roll provided.
Disliked Towel provided in the toilet had seen better days and there was only one so sometimes a bit of a wait on the weekend. Quiet hours weren't strictly enforced but I think I just got unlucky with lots of children staying there that night.
