What customers say
Fantastic spot with amazing views! The pub gets top marks for food & vibe. Facilities are a bit dated though, with toilet/shower shortages and some cleanliness issues. Still, most reckon it's great value and want to come back for the scenery.

WORST CAMPSITE IN IRELAND
Unpowered grass tent site (two person)
Liked Scenery, Guinness, nice staff - nothing else
Disliked WORST CAMPSITE IN IRELAND
Toilets should be shut down as a health hazard. No amenities for campers. Rocky field and nothing else, no tables, no water taps in camping field.
No campers kitchen.
Very much felt like the owners are forcing you into their pub to buy drinks and food. The toilet in the pub is worse than the campsite.
Rubbish all over the place, empty glasses of beer etc.
An absolute health hazard and dump.
Everyone stunned at how poor the campsite was compared to expectations.
Views are amazing, but you can't clean yourself and be comfortable with just the views.
Do everyone a favour and tear the lot down, it ruins what nature put there.

Liked Warm welcome to a stunning location. The food in the restaurant was gorgeous and the pub was hoping. We were guided to a nice quiet spot on the site with space for the kids to play.
Disliked The toilets could be attended to a bit more but we were well prepared

Beautiful location, awful facilities....do not book here!!!

Liked View of the mountains.Pub staff were lovely.
Disliked The pitches flooded badly so ,some tents and motorhomes had to move. The toilets and showers were very old and not clean at all when we were there and you have to pay extra for the showers! The spot for dumping chemical toilet waste did not have a hose to clean out and was full to the brim and blocked, completely disgusting ...worst we have ever ever seen in 10 years of touring. The bins which bordered the touring site were overflowing and rubbish ,including sanitary items were on the ground, birds taking advantage of this .A local sheep dog wandered around the site every day we were there and deficated.. no one there to pick up its mess.
It is such a shame as the site has so much potential if it was properly managed. It is such a beautiful location.I can't recommend this place at all.Easily the worst site we have ever stayed on by a country mile.

Fabulous views and facilities not as bad as some have said.

Liked Fabulous location with amazing views.
Previous reviews made out that the toilets were from a horror film, we didn’t find them too bad at all. Yes they are a bit old but they were clean, the water in the showers was hot and there was plenty of loo roll!
Pub was good for a pint or two as well.
Disliked There are only two loos and showers so have to pick your time right. No dish washing facilities.

Liked Not a lot. We didnt actually stay. It was raining so hard all of the pitches were flooding. Not their fault we know. Neat thing was the view.
Disliked If you like bare minimalist camping then this is the place for you. There is nothing at it and the very “rustic” facilities made it a no go for us. You could use the toilet in the Pub during opening hours.

Unpowered grass tent site (family)
Liked Location and scenery and the pub on site are the best things about the campsite!
Disliked There was a distinct lack of instructions on how to check in and no information on where to set up and where the bathrooms are. (Turns out you go to the pub to check in and the bathrooms are in the dark pink building).
Bathrooms and showers are super basic and there are 2 of each for the whole campsite. Showers are €1 for about 2 mins of hot water.
