What customers say
Great little campsite for a quiet stay. Spacious pitches, clean facilities (some with underfloor heating). Friendly hosts, good value. Train noise occasionally noted, but mostly not an issue. More toilets/showers would be a bonus.

Friendly host, easy access. Decent facilities. 6/10 overall.
Unpowered grass site
Liked We stayed for one night and found the site easy to access, with a friendly, accommodating and informative host who made us feel welcome.
The shower and toilet facilities were decent, although the shower could benefit from a more thorough clean.
Overall, I’d rate this campsite 6/10. It offers a convenient, straightforward stay with a welcoming host, but there are a few areas that could be improved.
Disliked The campsite is located right next to a railway line, so trains can be quite noticeable for the few minutes they pass by, but it wasn’t something that bothered us too much.
One thing worth mentioning is that neighbouring campers experienced problems with aggressive wasps/bees during our stay, although they didn’t bother us personally. It was exceptionally hot weather at the time, which may have contributed to increased insect activity.

Liked On arrival Corine showed us to a great grass pitch overlooking the newly cut hay field.
She walked us to the pitch abd explained where everything was.
Facilities clean and nearby.
Would definitely recommend.
Disliked The grass could have been a little shorter but not a huge issue.

Unpowered grass site
Liked Lovely little campsite clean and tidy. The trains are pretty close but our boys enjoyed watching them from the caravan. They also don't run through the night so no sleep disturbed. We visited for the summer solstice an it was in a perfect location to enable this to happen.

Friendly and welcoming host on a smallish, peaceful site.
Powered concrete slab site
Liked Small peaceful site on the edge of a large National Trust Estate which can be easily accessed from the site. Good for walkers and dog walkers alike.
A railway line does run next to the site but the trains are not frequent (maybe three or four an hour during the day and did not seem run throughout the night). This did not bother us but suggest you dont book if you think it is going to.
