Hardstanding campervan pitch
The outdoor pool
Pitch overlooking the devon countryside

  • Award-winning 80-acre site two miles from the beach
  • Pools, pub, fish and chip shop, sauna, steam room and gym
  • Five private fishing lakes, woodland adventure zone and nature trails
Anyone who relishes a bit of variety on their holidays should give this award-winning site serious consideration: there are buckets and spades of activities for all ages, both on site and in the immediate vicinity. Tucked into a valley, only a mile away from swathes of Blue Flag beaches, and a 10-minute drive from Dawlish Warren, Cofton Holidays has 80 acres of meadows, orchards and woodland laced with nature trails for visitors to explore. The facilities here will keep the whole family happily entertained for weeks: Cofton's indoor pool has massage jets and hydrotherapy bubble loungers, as well as a sauna, steam room and gym (a small additional charge applies), and there's a splash area with water jets to entertain the kids. Or set off angling instead at one of the five private fishing lakes, to bag a monster carp (24-pounders aren't unknown here). More? Kids can bounce around in the three dedicated play areas or explore the adventure zone in the woods, with activities such as pond dipping and bug hunting laid on in season; if it’s raining, there’s also a games room with amusements and a pool table. After these exertions, retire to the poolside patio of the Swan Inn for a refresher and a snack: the pub opens every night and serves up a good range of grub (breakfast and lunch are also available at weekends), plus regular entertainment including live bands, discos and karaoke in high season. Cofton also has its own fish and chip joint, as well as a shop for any vittles you might need. Wifi across the whole site (charges apply) means staying connected is simple, and it’s also worth mentioning that Cofton has excellent facilities for disabled visitors.

7.5 metre power optional gravel and concrete caravan site

Liked The facilities were great, the touring pitches are really close too, not too far to walk and really clean showers and toilets. The food was expectional and the outside pool area was our favourite place, lovely to chill and relax in the sun with a good atmosphere!

Disliked The only downside was the showers were freezing in both the men and women’s blocks.

Liked Sooo many things! Very friendly staff. It’s great to feel welcomed. Shop has everything you need. Few times a very young boy was serving in the shop. He was a super star! Pizza was amazing and fair priced. Site very clean with plenty of entertainment for everyone. Toilets and showers nice and clean. I love how showers were always warm, same with water. I definitely recommend this holiday park for anyone.

Disliked WiFi was expensive.
Other downside was soap in toilets. Very shame that for all 8 days, soap was only in one dispenser (3 available) Also i had impression that soap was diluted with water.

Liked Lots to do on site, we couldn’t do activities as didn’t realise you need to book like a month before if you want to do these as spaces go. The kids loved seeing the animals especially the pony and we all loved the tractor ride.
Evening entertainment was good, we enjoyed watching the talent show the most.

Disliked We couldn’t take our 4 kids swimming without asking a stranger if they would watch 2 of our older kids as both little ones 5&2 needed 1-1 adult each. Not that the stranger actually watched them as we made sure they were safe.

Liked Overall the campsite is very good, the indoor pool is great, the evening entertainment is fun. The pitch was flat and well maintained, the shower blocks were clean.

Disliked The chip-shop was a plain nasty money grab, cheap fish and pale chips. Huge disappointment after a long 30 minutes queue which we were told was ‘10 minutes mate’. Avoid as they ended up in the bin.
