Hardstanding campervan pitch
The outdoor pool
Pitch overlooking the devon countryside

  • Award-winning 80-acre site two miles from the beach
  • Pools, pub, fish and chip shop, sauna, steam room and gym
  • Five private fishing lakes, woodland adventure zone and nature trails
Anyone who relishes a bit of variety on their holidays should give this award-winning site serious consideration: there are buckets and spades of activities for all ages, both on site and in the immediate vicinity. Tucked into a valley, only a mile away from swathes of Blue Flag beaches, and a 10-minute drive from Dawlish Warren, Cofton Holidays has 80 acres of meadows, orchards and woodland laced with nature trails for visitors to explore. The facilities here will keep the whole family happily entertained for weeks: Cofton's indoor pool has massage jets and hydrotherapy bubble loungers, as well as a sauna, steam room and gym (a small additional charge applies), and there's a splash area with water jets to entertain the kids. Or set off angling instead at one of the five private fishing lakes, to bag a monster carp (24-pounders aren't unknown here). More? Kids can bounce around in the three dedicated play areas or explore the adventure zone in the woods, with activities such as pond dipping and bug hunting laid on in season; if it’s raining, there’s also a games room with amusements and a pool table. After these exertions, retire to the poolside patio of the Swan Inn for a refresher and a snack: the pub opens every night and serves up a good range of grub (breakfast and lunch are also available at weekends), plus regular entertainment including live bands, discos and karaoke in high season. Cofton also has its own fish and chip joint, as well as a shop for any vittles you might need. Wifi across the whole site (charges apply) means staying connected is simple, and it’s also worth mentioning that Cofton has excellent facilities for disabled visitors.

Great site, spacious pitches, top-notch facilities. Friendly staff a highlight. Families loved pools & entertainment. Some found it hilly, noisy, and WiFi/elec extra. Mostly excellent, many planning return trips.

Power optional gravel and concrete caravan site (maximum 7 metres)

Liked Clean, tidy, plenty to do for kids, felt safe.

Disliked NOT DISABLED FRIENDLY AT ALL .
Several factors need addressing re access to main road and also the toilet block is not disabled friendly despite a dedicated room.
Steps in the shower
Window in the main door for everyone to see in
No handles on the door
No fixed seat in shower.
Cubicle wouldnt fit a wheelchair or allow to transfer to a seat if one was there
No hooks except 2 high ones on main door.
No shelf to put any belongings on or assist to keep things in easy reach
Push button shower which only lasts 5 secs, I counted and when pressed again water is scalding.
Too much clutter in the room so movement is difficult
Paid no attention for a pitch close to facilities. Refused to move us or open another block closer to our pitch

Power optional gravel and concrete caravan site (maximum 8 metres)

Liked Nice, spacious pitches. Clean toilets and showers.
Lovely pool, we went in the office season, so only used the inside pool, but the outside area looked great.
Bus from the main road into Dawlish.(Dawlish itself was pretty run down, but obviously not the campsites fault!)
Evening entertainment and club house was great. Shop was well stocked.
