  • Cornwall countryside touring park five minutes' drive from Marazion
  • St Michael's Mount five minutes' drive; Land's End 35 minutes
  • Simple back to basics pitches for caravans and motorhomes only
Searching for somewhere simple, spacious and serene to settle down in the Cornish countryside for a while? Make your way to Marazion Touring Park, two miles from Marazion and with large peaceful pitches among parkland that's full of trees and greenery. The park has basic toilet and shower facilities, along with a chemical disposal point, but that’s pretty much it – no noisy entertainments or busy facilities here, just a quiet site where you'll be able relax and enjoy the fresh air and the sound of birdsong. In the summer months you can add in a tasty meal too, as the site has regular visits from food trucks including a fish and chip van and a popular Greek food vendor. Walkers will be particularly well served here – there's a footpath running through the site that connects with a network of local trails, and as the coast is only a few minutes' drive away you'll also easily be able to get out onto the South West Coast Path. You're welcome to bring along a dog to accompany you on such outings – they’ll need to be kept on a lead on site, but you’re never too far from a dog-friendly beach where they can have a splash around. The beaches around here are stunning, of course – and you'll have several to choose from, including Praa Sands in the south and Hayle up on the north coast (20 minutes away). Popular St Michael's Mount is close by as well, and it's a little over half an hour's drive to Land’s End.

What customers say

Peaceful rural site with friendly owners, tidy grounds & roomy pitches. Lovely woodland setting, close to St Michael's Mount. Food vans a bonus. Facilities mostly clean, though showers/toilets basic. Wi-Fi can be spotty. One reviewer had a very bad check-in.

Liked The site manager was really friendly and helpful, loaned me an extension for my hook up and asked how my poorly son was doing each day.
The location was so peaceful and beautiful.
Our pitch was quite spacious, not sure if others were similar or not.
Location was a good spring board to explore Cornwall and the surrounding areas.
Access to a cabin with an air fryer, washing machines, fridge and freezer etc was good.
The campsite felt safe and the other guests seemed respectful and chilled, one went out of their way to put up a windbreak to divide the pitches because my son was nervous of their dog.
The site was really well kept and very clean.
We never had to queue for the shower or toilet which often puts me off sites.

Disliked I felt the site missed sinks/mirrors for washing your face and brushing teeth.
It felt like there were a lot of dogs on the site and some of the barking was quite loud and felt a bit intimidating, it made me a little nervous at times.
I might of missed it as there were some displays but it would be great to be able to access information for local walks directly from the campsite.

Liked Beautiful surroundings, pitch was a great size and owner was very helpful. Food vans were a great addition. (You must try the Greek food, it was delicious) location was great for exploring the area. Facilities were good. Showers were hot and kettle, microwave and air fryer is a nice addition for the times you didn’t want to cook in the tent. There is also a borrow station for things like windbreaker, body boards etc which is a lovely touch.

Disliked Only thing we would have like to see was the toilet stalls cleaned of cobwebs. I made friends with a spider in the same stall the whole of my stay, she had a very large web and seemed well fed. However the toilet bowls were clean as were the showers.

Liked Small and quiet. very helpful, polite and kind staff members. Good priced consumable items for sale.
There were Daily food trucks.
There was easy access to clean kettle, toaster, microwave and air fryer.

Disliked The inability to brush teeth in the toilets (the water was not suitable for drinking. The sinks are small. I took my own water in to do them.
The showers were not fun. In the evening they become very wet (water condenses on the ceiling forming droplets) so there was no where to get dressed that was dry. -take a big towel or a dry robe to walk back to your tent etc. They were better in the morning. However, The shower was powerful and warm.
The ground wants not only hard from no rain but it also has rocks very close to the surface so it was not the easiest yo pitch a tent but we did it!

Liked Everything….!! The campsite manager (Gavin) was awesome, so helpful with the local area and recommendations. The campsite was impeccable and cleaned regularly. The showers and toilets were perfect. A lovely quiet campsite in summer peak. Big pitches perfect for stargazing. Couldn’t recommend this campsite more to any visitor.

Liked Peaceful location, well kept site and some useful kitchen utilities, if you need to use them. Showers efficient.
Friendly owners

Disliked Would be useful to have utility basins with suitable water to brush your teeth etc…(ladies toilet block sinks, had a notice to advise the water wasn’t suitable for brushing teeth etc..). We hadn’t noticed any other areas to use, but we adapted!

Local attractions

Marazion (five minutes’ drive) is a lovely place to visit, with some great places to eat and a fabulous sandy beach that’s just the place for a day of building sandcastles, paddling or playing games. There are watersports to try out here too (paddleboarding and kayaking along with kitesurfing for the daredevils), and of course the town is famously home to St Michael’s Mount, which can be reached by ferry or on foot across the causeway (check the tide times carefully if you’re planning the latter…) Other coastal locations you might like to visit while you’re here include gorgeous Praa Sands (10 minutes), arty St Ives (20 minutes) – home of Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden – and of course the famed Land’s End (35 minutes). In the summer you may also like to bag tickets to an outdoor show at the Minack Theatre (35 minutes), in a spectacular location overlooking the sea. For other days out, take the kids to Paradise Park and JungleBarn Cornwall (10 minutes), or wander through 22 art-filled acres at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens (15 minutes).
