  • Friendly family-run site near the Lizard Peninsula
  • Coverack village harbour and beach under a mile away
  • Sports field, games room, launderette and plenty of space for play
'In a brilliant spot' is how a gratified former guest has described the setting of Little Trevothan Caravan Park near Coverack... this peaceful and friendly family park is secludedly set, but within easy reach of heaps of Cornish attractions: the Lizard Peninsula, Kynance Cove, St Michael's Mount, the National Maritime Museum and the Cornish Seal Sanctuary are a mere handful of top destinations easily reached from here, as well as fishing, surfing and swimming galore around the seas and sands of the south coast. Little Trevothan is among 10 acres of well-maintained lawns, hedges and shrubs, close to the coves and beaches of the Lizard Peninsula Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and 20 minutes' walk from the pubs, shops and shores of Coverack fishing village for swimming and watersports. The site has a family games room and a small shop (open during high season), and plenty of space in the sports field and playground for kids to run around. Among the amenities are a washroom block with toilets and free hot showers, a launderette with washing machines and dryers, and a washing-up area. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.

What customers say

This tidy, peaceful spot has roomy, flat pitches and great, clean facilities. Staff are friendly & helpful, the scenery's lovely, with easy access to walks and the beach. Minor gripes were noted, but it's a welcoming, well-equipped, and highly recommended holiday for all.

Liked The friendly welcome and modern facilities. Very peaceful site in March, quiet and level pitch. About a 20 minute walk from Coverack along the road to a choice of places to get a meal and a drink or a cup of coffee. Circular walks using coast path and footpaths within a short walk from the site.

Disliked I think in peak season there could be a queue for the showers, which were very limited in number. In early March the toilet/shower block was running in condensation creating a slippery floor and a damp chilly feel, which is a shame as it's a lovely modern block and I'm sure with a bit of background heat and improved ventilation it would be easily resolved.

From the manager: Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us at the start of our season and for your kind comments. We’re delighted you enjoyed the local dining options and the stunning coastal walks.

We pride ourselves on providing more than the recommended number of toilet and shower facilities for a park of our size, and we’re pleased to have updated them since taking over. Over the past nine seasons, we’ve completed many projects to transform the park from its previous condition. Whilst we are exploring the possibility of adding solar panels to our shower blocks to generate electricity for heating in early spring, we would also need to balance this with keeping our nightly pitch rates reasonable—a bit of a tricky challenge!

We truly hope to welcome you back to Little Trevothan soon.

Liked Clean and tidy camp site. Spacious pitches. Good local walks to the beach.

Disliked Shower heads and heat cannot be adjusted. Shower water goes over the head of smaller campers and blasts the bigger ones in the face. Need some pest control for the large population of spiders living in the ablution blocks.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the clean and spacious pitches and the local walks to the beach!

Regarding the showers, the water heat is set at the optimum advised temperature to ensure safety and comfort, though we understand it can still feel different for campers of varying heights. As for the spiders, we did have an autumn invasion with some finding shelter in the blocks, but they were quickly evicted!

Your feedback helps us improve, and we hope to welcome you back for an even better stay in the future.

Liked This is a lovely site, located in such a peaceful, beautiful area not far outside of Coverack. The site is immaculately cared for by the friendly owners, and has good facilities for showering, washing up and waste disposal. It is a mixture of touring pitches, static caravans and camping. There is walking available, but if walking is tricky for you, then we would recommend driving to Coverack, as the road is very steep in places.
Overall a very nice place and we would definitely stay again.

Liked The staff were so lively upon check in and made us feel so welcome
The pitch was level and big, and had everything we needed. We were on a corner pitch and the hedges made the pitch feel really private.
The playing field was beautiful and the play area huge. We were lucky to stay on a sunny evening and there were swallows flying through the field which felt magical.
The dog walking field was a lovely added feature.
The facilities were great - warm showers and clean throughout
