Quiet site, clean toilets…
Powered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked: Quiet site, clean toilets
Disliked: Long grass which they say is to stop cars from turning the field into a bog and i have never been asked to move my car from the tent to the car park to save the grass they say, so, leave the grass long to save the field from car damage and then ban cars, there making it up as they go along.

From the manager: We’re genuinely disappointed to read your review, particularly the 1/10 rating for customer service. This feels very unfair, especially as no issues or concerns were raised with us during your stay. We always make ourselves available to help and are more than happy to resolve any problems if given the chance. In your case, we simply allowed you to enjoy your break in peace – including walking your dogs – as many guests prefer.
We are a small, peaceful working farm campsite, not a commercial holiday park, and we work extremely hard to provide a clean, quiet, and welcoming environment. Our flat-rate pricing includes heated showers, clean facilities, free Wi-Fi, and electricity – with absolutely no hidden costs.
What’s most disheartening is when small, family-run sites like ours receive low ratings without context or communication. There is a huge amount of work involved behind the scenes to keep places like this running – often for very little reward – and reviews like this can be deeply discouraging. Sadly, this is one of the reasons many small campsites are closing down across the country.
We always welcome fair and honest feedback, but we also ask that guests consider the impact of their words, and the importance of raising any issues during their stay so we have a chance to put things right.

Liked: Clean facilities - didn't get to use the showers or dish washing station as our tent turned out to be ruined and we needed to leave, hubby and daughter stayed one night so they could put the tent down safely. But they looked really good.
Electric hook up worked straight away and right on the pitch with water.
Great communication
Pitch was pretty level
Large bin on existing the site which is very useful.
Good sized car park.
The sound of the cows in the shed was a highlight for me, I love cows!
Will be back once we have rectified our tent situation 🙂
Only 20 minutes from Blackpool's coastline
Disliked: I think the price was a little high.
£20 for an extra child who was 4. Just seemed a bit much, but we were desperate to take the kids camping not to far from home so bit the bullet.

Well set up small rural site
Powered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked: Quiet, small site with the basic facilities you need and surrounded by fields and farms. Washing and showering facilities all perfectly adequate. Straightforward and simple arrival instructions, but be aware there is no reception or any obvious onsite presence. That said, we did have a query about the electric hook up and were helped immediately over the phone.
Disliked: Doesn't just apply to this site, but 10am departure is a stretch. Doesn't give much time to get breakfast sorted, showered and get the tent and all belongings sorted and packed up, particularly when travelling with young children (there was no mention anywhere of the possibility of later departure). I think this seems to be a general legacy of COVID era hospitality which really now needs to stop. We had to end our stay a day early anyhow due to very strong winds, which obviously is no fault of the site!

Lovely site very quiet and chilled
Powered concrete slab caravan site
Liked: Had such a lovely time at this site very large fairly level pitch lovely clean facilities and beautiful views. You're given a code for the barrier and allocated a pitch very easy no fuss at all. There is a working farm next door with lots of cows and wow!! They can be a bit noisy lol but we loved it right in the middle of nature fantastic.
