Large Groups - we cannot accommodate large family or friend groups, maximum 2 families or 5 adults. Please note if you have booked under different names but are part of the same group can be asked to leave without refund.
We are a quiet site, no music allowed and quiet from 10pm.
Campfires permitted only in the fire pits provided with wood purchased only from reception.

Foot O’Skiddaw is a cosy glamping retreat at the base of Skiddaw, offering the charm of camping with added luxury. Designed by Landpod, it’s an ideal base for outdoor adventures with no setup required.

Sleeping 2–4 people in two double bunk-style beds with bedding included, the canvas-covered pod is thermally insulated and features a wood-burning stove for warm, comfortable stays year-round. Inside, there’s an indoor seating and dining area, storage, shelves, a wine rack, lighting and phone charging (powered by solar).

Outside, guests can enjoy a picnic bench, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with gas stove, and a fire pit (only firewood purchased at reception can be used). Campsite facilities include toilets, showers, drinking water, a washing-up area, an honesty shop, and parking, with the Sun Inn pub just a short walk away.

Lil’ Cockup is a cosy cocoon-style glamping pod near the Wainwright Little Cockup, accessible directly from the campsite. Designed for one or two people, it’s ideal for walkers wanting extra comfort after exploring the Cumbrian hills or the Cumbria Way.

The pod features a thermally insulated, waterproof canvas roof to keep you warm in winter and cool in summer, with the option to open it up on sunny days. Inside there’s a comfortable double bed with bedding, a small open cupboard, solar-powered power bank to charging phones & lighting. Extra storage is available outside in a waterproof box.

Guests can enjoy a fire pit (logs must be purchased on site), an included parking space if needed, and full access to campsite facilities such as toilets, showers, pot-washing areas, and a small honesty shop. A local pub is just a short walk away. Pets are not permitted.

Wainwrights Den is a ready-to-go, canvas-covered retreat combining the feel of camping with a few modern comforts. Ideal for hikers, it sleeps 2–4 people in two double bunk-style beds with bedding provided.

The den is unheated but well-insulated, keeping it warm in winter and cool in summer, with adjustable ventilation for sunny days. Inside, there’s a seating area with a pull-out table, storage, lighting and phone charging (powered by solar power).

Outside, guests can enjoy a picnic bench, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with gas stove, and a fire pit (must be purchased on site). The campsite also offers toilets, showers, drinking water, washing-up facilities, an honesty shop, and parking, with a nearby pub just a short walk away.
