What customers say
Great Dent village location, lovely scenery, good local pubs & walks. Staff welcoming, facilities clean. Some found it overcrowded on bank holidays, with cramped pitches & disorganisation. Coin showers a niggle for a few.

Lovely quiet site, close to the village, good, clean facilities.
Powered grass campervan site (small)
Liked Quiet, close to the village but also nice walks.

Maybe better at less busy times, clean and scenic site.
Powered grass tent site (large)
Liked Setting was beautiful, nice clean site, clean toilets.
Disliked It was very busy and felt crammed in,tents were very close to each other. Booked electric pitch. Told where to pitch and was at least maybe 50 foot away from a point to hook up so had to pay a deposit (refundable) of £30 for an extension lead. Our lead is about 20 foot and nearest point was full.

Liked The scenery
Disliked Couldn't see much of the scenery. The camp-site was overcrowded. Guide ropes overlapped with neighbouring tents. No space for children to play, barely any space to sit out front of the tent as the cars were parked so close. Would not return.

Liked Location
Disliked To many tents crammed onto one field.
Less then 1.2 metres between us and neighbours on all sides.
Electric splitters so 7 tents onto a 4 outlet unit. Not safe

Powered grass caravan site
Liked Good location to explore.
Close to local pubs and village shop.
Nice cafe at entrance to site.
Disliked Toilets could do with a freshen up.
Bank holiday weekend resulting in site being very busy and allocation of pitches uncoordinated.
Pre booked grass pitch but was located on small concrete plot with no area to sit outside.

Dreadful
Power optional grass tent site (small)
Liked Nothing
Disliked Horrendous stay at the campsite!!!!
Dangerously overcrowded with triple the number of people crammed onto the site. Tents very close to one another and a high fire risk. Very loud until the early hours and strong smell of weed. Not enough hot water or showers/ toilets for the number of people.
Extension leads were being used to provide electricity to extra tents from the hook up points. Fire waiting to happen. Greed over safety.
Would never stay again and highly suggest no one else should stay either.

Very disappointing
Powered concrete slab caravan site
Liked We didn't stay.
Disliked It was the bank Holiday weekend and we expected the site to be busy, but it was ridiculously full. Vans and tents were crammed in, absolutely no room to move. We just drove straight out.

All so friendly on the site…
Powered concrete slab caravan site
Liked All so friendly on the site and in the centre across the road and a lovely little village.
Disliked Not really a dislike just a word of caution that the roads are narrow leading up to the site. We were lucky driving in to be behind a huge tractor so they cleared the road for us!

Nice site, with clean facilities at reasonable rates.
Powered grass caravan site
Liked Nice grass pitch, full site but plenty of room. Lovely cafe and museum on site, with a nice village to wonder into.
Disliked Everyone parking in front of pitch, was a bit tight, but it was last Bank Holiday, so exceptionally full.

Liked Friendly and helpful staff at the cafe and on site. They accommodated my request to be close to another party in a caravan. It got very busy over the weekend but everyone was largely well behaved. The cafe on site was really nice.
Disliked Not the quietest camp but overall no issues. Didn't mind paying for the shower but worth knowing it's exact change.
