What customers say
A peaceful spot with great value, level pitches, and helpful owners. Clean facilities and a big dog field get a thumbs up. Handy for Chester. Some minor electric and muddy ground issues after heavy rain, with ongoing fixes.

Lovely, quiet site. Plenty of peaceful walks.
Fox powered concrete and grass caravan site
Liked The site was spacious, accessible and really quiet! Toilet blocks were fine and everything felt really secure. There were lots of surrounding fields with little ponds about which was lovely for our children.
Disliked Upon arrival, the owner asked my husband to avoid using the electricity (which we paid £10 extra for!) for our heater and insisted we used our own gas for heating instead. We have probably stayed at more than 50 sites over the years and never have we been asked to do this. So despite the site being pleasant enough, we wouldn’t stay again for this reason, and we knocked a few stars off as it was just a bit cheeky really.

From the manager: Thank you for you review. I asked would it be possible for you to use gas for your heating, as our electrics are being upgraded. Our pitch prices are £20 with electric and £15 without, so you only paid £5 for the electric.I am sorry to hear you will not be returning, take care

Liked Lovely and peaceful. Fire pit allowed. 30 mins walk through the fields to 3 pubs in Tattenhall village. Handy farm shop next door with a cafe. If you want a busy site this isn’t it. If you want peace and quiet it is 👍
Disliked Nothing. All good

Would both visit again, plenty of open space for children
Fox powered concrete and grass caravan site
Liked Liked the location being close to Chester, Whitchurch and wales all within 30 mins drive, site was 4mins drive from village pubs, takeaway foods and spar
Hard standing pitch was nice and level, considering the amount of inclement weather we had recently the grass areas was surprisingly firm, loved the dog walk Field with plenty of local wildlife and a couple of fishing ponds, the onsite farm cafe and farm shops was outstanding
Wardens was very pleasant and accommodating
The facilities was relatively basic but very clean and tidy with three showers and a toilet cubicle
Disliked Another toilet cubicle would be of more use rather than 3 showers, maybe 2&2
It is quite exposed being on the Cheshire plains I would expect it, also the main road was quite close behind pitches 1-5 we was on 4

Good value great location simple facilities
Badger powered concrete and grass caravan site (large)
Liked Good size pitch, great value for money. Great location next to farm shop/cafe. Clean facilities lots to do nearby ice cream farm (unfortunately dogs not allowed) Boathouse cafe good for dogs . Large field for dogs and grass area for children to play football/ ball games. Friendly staff and good information inside toilet block
Disliked Intermittent power when more than 2 items on together. Once you know this it isn’t a problem. Poor Wi-Fi signal not a problem for us

Fox powered concrete and grass caravan site
Liked Great little campsite, both the wardens were helpful and a pleasure to speak to.
They have great plans for the site however it’s clean and tidy with all the usual facilities.
A newly opened cafe is right next door along with a farm shop and hardware store which literally sells everything.
