What customers say
A no-frills campsite by The New Inn pub, great value & peace. Staff are friendly, pub food/beer excellent. Handy for North York Moors. Simple but clean facilities. Some found it boggy or noisy, but most loved the vibe and plan to return.

Liked Great for going walking and cheap, this site is very basic site with water and a very basic toilet block, if your not used to roughing it then it's not for you, the pub is great though and gets busy

Disliked We arrived and was directed to the field it was on a slight concrete slope into the grass areas we as soon as we hit the grass field we were stuck and as much as we tried our motorhome was not moving and had to wait 45 mins to be towed out by a local with a your wheel drive pickup

Good value for solo traveller, would visit again.
Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked Rural location next to pub, sheltered camping field, freedom to pitch wherever you wished, no marked pitches. Price for solo traveller very reasonable. Pub excellent, great service and food.
Disliked Facilities very basic and in some cases non functioning, no marked water point visible, had to use tap in amenities, evidence of several fires being lit on the ground and debris not cleared away, some litter on ground (toilet paper and wet wipes), not the owners doing but irresponsible campers.
Facilities on site advertised as basic so no surprises.

Basic site but felt safe and wonderful pub, staff.
Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked Basic grass field with room to pitch up wherever you wanted. Pub staff friendly and welcomimg. Food amazing in the pub.
Was well described on pitch up website so we knew there would be no shower facilities and a basic toilet. The ladies toilet was clean and basic and a night light would come on when entering. I cant speak for the mens toilets but they looked from the outside to be rustic and basic too.
We found a lovely walk from the village, we're not 'walkers' but did a lovely 6km circular route.
Disliked We are newbies to campervanning and this site offered us a basic example of what going off grid would be like but with the convenience of a toilet. For us personally we would want a nicer toilet/shower block for our future bookings and we do prefer having electric hook up but this is just personal choice and not in anyway against this site as we got what we paid for an appreciated being able to book just one night during a busy season.
