Peaceful, off-grid site with stunning views. Helpful owners, good toilet facilities. Great for walks and pubs. Some suggest showers, a few noted wind and track access, which is being sorted.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Peaceful, off grid, quiet, shelter under the trees, ability to play music, have a campfire and stay up late
Disliked Ground was almost impossible to get standard tent pegs into

From the manager: Hi, thanks for your lovely comments. Pegs can be an issue in some places to be fair. The site was a Wellington Bomber dispersal point for the neighbouring RAF Newton during the war. The hard standing pads that the bombers stood on are still there and sadly hiding just under ground in certain parts of the site. Sorry
Excellent site with amazing views.

Liked We loved this campsite, we could camp in the open or in the trees and it had amazing views over Nottinghamshire. Watching the sunset was better than telly. Friendly staff greeted us and we could choose where we camped.
Disliked My son missed being able to have a shower but didn't bother the rest of us.
Broken lock on one of the toilets wasn't great.
