  • Rural pop-up site on a small working farm with equestrian facilities
  • Half an hour’s drive from Lincoln and 45 minutes from the east coast
  • Near to trails such as the Viking Way and National Cycle Route One
Middlefield Camping is a deliciously rural site on a small working farm in the Lincolnshire countryside with equestrian facilities. Here, you’ll be able to bite into miles of bridleways and trails, including the Viking Way nearby and the National Cycle Route One two miles away from the site – the way to Lincoln (otherwise half an hour’s drive) and Woodhall Spa (10 minutes). Sublime sunsets may be your dessert at the end of the day here (weather dependent, of course). Handily, the site has plenty of peace and quiet to help you keep a watchful eye for local wildlife, including buzzards, buzzards, kestrels, kites, herons, deer and game that often wander by. This is a pop-up site, so naturally the facilities are quite limited. Among these are water points and chemical waste disposal to keep the place clean and your water levels topped up for all the activities in the local area. A local village, named East Kirkby, is home to the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre and the Just Jane Lancaster bomber – a large aircraft from World War II. This place is a good place for shops and eateries, but your go-to for places to eat will likely be Woodhall Spa, 10 minutes’ drive away.

Unpowered grass caravan site

Liked I had an email before I arrived confirming my stay and telling me where I could pitch etc.
Owners very friendly and helpful.
Grass path cut so could walk the dogs for 10 min leg stretch without having to go on the road
Lovely views. Quiet most of the time.
Basic but clean, well kept facilities just what expect from a pop up site.

Disliked I missed the entrance first time as on pitch up it doesn't use the name of the farm in front of Middlefield plus the entrance is on a fast moving bendy road so you struggle to slow and look when in your own.
Was a shame not closer to footpaths and bridleways for longer dog walks without risking main road

My kind of site.. no-one else there for most of our stay🤪…
