  • Small family-run site among five acres of green Lincs countryside
  • Sutton on Sea and Huttoft beach five minutes' drive
  • Next to a riding centre and 25 minutes' drive from Skegness
Well, now, this is an excellent little place. Small, friendly and family-run, South Farm Caravan Park is a touring site set deep in the Lincolnshire countryside, a five-minute drive from colourful Sutton on Sea, 10 minutes from Mablethorpe and 25 minutes from Skegness. Families, couples and solo travellers are all welcome here, and dogs would likely give the farm an approving woof too: many walks are nearby along the countryside lanes and fields, and the walks – and bike rides – of the Lincolnshire Wolds are very close by. The closest beach, Huttoft or Moggs Eye, has miles of dog-friendly sands for the pooch to let loose. If you think the kids would like to canter, riding lessons and a pony club are at the equestrian centre next door to the farm. Facilities at the farm include clean toilets and showers (these are based away from the pitches and require a walk) and a washing-up area. There's a small tea room (open every day during the school holidays only) and a games room.

  • Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
  • The games room is open between 01/03 and 31/10.
  • Rental accommodation: Electricity is metered on site at £0.25 per kWh via a coin-operated meter in place. The meters accept £1 and £2 coins only. Guests with touring vehicles will be asked to use their own toilet and shower facilities. The toilet/shower facilities are a few minutes' walk from the camping area, so may not be suitable for guests with mobility difficulties. A charge of £0.50 per 5 minutes applies for use of the shower. Please note that renovation works are currently taking place on site, but the pitches and facilities are not affected. The café is open daily from 9.30am to 7pm.

What customers say

A welcoming, family-run spot with big, flat spots, handy for the beach. Staff are great, cafe's good, kids love the bouncy castles. Toilets are a bit old and a walk, and showers cost a bit. Good value for a chilled coastal break.

Liked Friendly staff, lovely location.
A developing family site that will be great in the future.
Would stay here again, the place has potential and the owners have great ideas.

Disliked Tent area is furthest away from all the amenities.
Play area and kids room required some TLC.
Tent area could do with some shelter, over exposed at the end of the field and the wind was awful. Can't blame you for the weather, but the rest of the site was protected by trees, apart from the top end.

Liked We’ve just returned from a fantastic stay at this campsite and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

From the moment we arrived, the staff gave us such a warm welcome. They genuinely couldn’t do enough to help us, especially during Storm David while we were staying there. The weather could easily have dampened the trip, but the team running the site went above and beyond to make sure everyone was safe, comfortable and looked after. Their kindness and constant support really stood out and honestly made the trip extra special for us. We’re incredibly grateful and can’t thank them enough.

The site itself is great for families. Our kids were kept entertained the whole time thanks to the onsite bouncy castle and park, which gave them plenty to do between outings. It made a huge difference knowing they had somewhere fun and safe to play right on site.

Another big positive was the size of the pitches. They were very spacious, giving everyone plenty of room without feeling cramped or crowded. It made setting up and relaxing much more enjoyable.

The location is also ideal. The campsite sits perfectly between Mablethorpe and Skegness, so you’ve got easy access to plenty of things to see and do in either direction. Whether you want seaside fun, arcades, beaches, or places to explore, everything is just a short drive away.

Overall, we had a brilliant stay. The combination of a great location, spacious pitches, family-friendly facilities, and most importantly the amazing people running the site made this a trip to remember. We’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming and well-run campsite.

It wouldn't let me upload the photos for some reason but they provided Storm straps for the tents, wind breakers, storm pegs. And even parked 2 of their own vans in front of one of the tents to shelter them from the wind. Really went above and beyond for everyone!

They even prepped some spare bedrooms, one of the clamping pods and even inside their own home for any guests that felt unsafe to stay in their tents!!

Disliked STORM DAVID!!! 😂

Liked Great campsite the owners couldn’t do enough for you. Storm Dave arrived while we was there and they was running around securing peoples tents and awnings. Facilities are super clean and there’s a lovely cafe onsite. Games room with DVDs to borrow aswell. They even did an Easter egg hunt for the kids. Our electric wasn’t working so they moved us straight away and even helped us move our stuff. Can’t wait to go again. Thanks again to the lovely staff

Disliked Nothing everything was lovely

Liked Very spacious pitches. Clean tidy site and well maintained throughout. Staff were very friendly and the food in the cafe was brilliant. Had no issues at all and they were more than happy for my two springer spaniels to stay on site with us.

Disliked The only one very small thing that could be improved was the shower cubicle in the men's. There was no where other than two hooks to put my clothes and towel on whilst I showered and as the shower door opened outwards the water then made the floor wet meaning there wasn't anywhere dry inside the cubicle to get dressed or keep clothes out the wet.

Liked Lovely owner, and wardens, very welcoming. Good pitches, not cramped. Food in cafe nicely cooked but could do with more home made options. (I think there are plans for this)

Disliked I can see showers being very busy at full capacity with only being 2 ladies. They were however spotless clean!

Local attractions

This is a great spot for family and beach holidays, with both Sutton on Sea and Huttoft beaches close by for colourful beach huts at the first and a peaceful, relaxing vibe at the second. Skegness is an easy drive along the coast, and Mablethorpe and Ingoldmells are also easily accessible to the north and south. Among the many other activities near the farm are the ambles and pedals of the Lincolnshire Wolds or taking day trips to Lincolnshire's small market towns like Alford, where there's also a war museum and a theatre. Bargain hunters should also get along to one of Lincolnshire's many car boot sales, at Ingoldmells, Skegness and Mablethorpe on the coast and inland at Louth, Horncastle, Gainsborough and Hornbeach.
