  • Quiet adults-only park among Lincolnshire farmland; dogs allowed
  • A 20-minute drive from beaches at Skegness and Mablethorpe
  • Half a mile from the village pub and shop
A warm and friendly welcome awaits at The Nurseries Caravan Park, an adults-only, dog-friendly park in a semi-rural setting in Lincolnshire. Set at the end of a quiet lane and surrounded by farmland, this site is well-placed for relaxing breaks both in the Lincolnshire countryside and by the sea. Coastal trips are particularly easily arranged at Skegness or Mablethorpe, both of which can be reached in about a 20-minute drive. The site is located in the village of Mumby near Alford, and there's a pub and shop about half a mile away on foot or by car (a few last-minute essentials are also available to buy on site). Facilities here include spotless men's and women's toilets and showers, one of which is suitable for people with reduced mobility. There is also a laundry room, a freezer for ice etc., a food preparation area and a separate washing-up sink. Adjacent to the facilities block, there is also a chemical waste disposal point for tourers. Handily, the site has an on-site café for tasty snacks and daily essentials. The Nurseries Caravan Park is very pet-friendly, and there is plenty of safe off-site dog walking to be had in the surrounding area for exploration with your four-legged friend.

What customers say

Great adult-only spot for a quiet break. Paddock pitches are large, flat and some have artificial turf. Wardens are super friendly and helpful, honesty shop and cafe are a hit. Toilets are clean, though a shower spruce-up would be good. Perfect for dog walkers with ace local strolls.

Fully-serviced concrete and grass caravan site

Liked Lovely big pitches with plenty of space between them. Great dog walk directly from site. Very quiet.

Disliked Needed a bit of tidying up. Toilets and showers needed a good spring clean. Could just be result of a long winter.
Approach road needs repairing due to big pot holes.

Fully-serviced concrete and grass caravan site

Liked Tilly, site manager, was what made our stay so pleasant. She met us at the gate and showed us around the site. The communal spaces were clean and dry and the honesty shop was well stocked. We would happily stay here again

Disliked Only downside was that the shower block wasn't warm, although the water was at least.

Fully-serviced concrete and grass caravan site

Liked What a lovely quiet site. Spacious pitches and clean and tidy.
Tilly was amazing, couldn’t do enough to make sure we were settled. We’re newbies first time out , didn’t have a clue and she helped us so much. She gave us such a warm welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. Had such a relaxing stay. Thank you.

Disliked Didn’t dislike anything, just a note that it could be better sign posted , we struggled to find it in the rain.
Disappointed the cafe wasn’t open.

Local attractions

The small seaside town of Sutton on Sea (15 minutes' drive) is an excellent place to start exploring the Lincolnshire coast, with its attractive seafront, pretty public gardens and spectacular natural beach. The place feels more like a village than a town and is a world away from the bright lights and buzzing arcades of similarly nearby Skegness and Mablethorpe (both 20 minutes), both of which are also well worth visiting in their own right. For a change of scene, you could continue along the coast to the Seal Sanctuary (20 minutes), where sick and wounded sea creatures are nursed back to full health, or head inland instead to the National Trust property of Gunby Hall (15 minutes), a handsome 1700s country house with Victorian walled gardens. If you're happy to head slightly further afield, you could sample local ales at Batemans Brewery (25 minutes), plan jaunts to traditional market towns like Louth (35 minutes), a famed foodie hotspot, or leave the countryside behind to visit the cathedral city of Lincoln (an hour) and its pretty medieval streets.
