Electric grass pitch (maximum 7 metres)
Liked This is a great site. Lovely and clean and very well laid out. Craig and Kelly are wonderful site owners and they found us a pitch in the shade, pitch 31, which was very welcomed as it was very hot when we arrived. Kelly gave us maps and recommended certain beaches.
The site has its own well stocked little bar with plenty of covered seating.
The site owners are very friendly and came to chat with us every day to check we were OK. They gave us a bbq stand to place our bbq on which saved us scorching the grass. We did scorch it a bit, but Craig gave us some bricks and this was better.

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Really lovely site. Very clean and well maintained. Lovely pitches. Friendly staff.
Really suitable for families with younger children. Our children are teens.
Would reccommend it to younger families. It's no noise after 10 so not suitable if you like to sit outside and have a drink / bbq late into the evening.
Disliked If you want WiFi on your pitch you have to pay extra for it as the free WiFi only works around the pool and in the club house. Not such a big deal though as we only paid £15 for 4 devices for 3 days. Kept my teens happy.

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked We stayed at the Sandymouth holiday park from 16th August until 23rd August. We stayed on a service pitch. The site is amazing. Very well layed out and verty neat and tidy. The view from the tent area is amazing adn we saw some lovely sun sets. The weather was wet and windy at night and we were glad we had taken corkscrew tent pegs. The toilet block was spotless and so was the area for doing the washing up. The pool was spotless too and the life guards were very friendly and helpful. One of the life guards provided lots of entertainment for the kids by chucking buckets of water at the kids in the pool. My daughter thought that was great. The changing rooms were spotless and you could get a shower. There are free lockers provided too. The bar and club house were fabulous too. We didn't have a meal while we were there but the food being served look amazing - nice large portions. We didn't stay for the entertainment but did stay for the bingo which was good fun. The club house was a nice size and we had no trouble getting seats. Next to the club house is an amusement arcade with 2p slot machines and other types of machines. There are machines to provide you with change so you can play. My daughters had some fun in here. The childrens play area is great for younger children. My daughter is 8 adn she had fun climbing abaord the Black Pearl Pirate ship. The play area is enclosed and opposite the club house so it is very safe for the kids to play in. There is an on site launderette which we didn't use but had a look inside. This is in a nice spot on the site with a table outside and seats inside. During the day we went to visit the Eden project which was about 1 hour and 15 mins. We booked this on line prior to coming to Bude and our family ticket was £58, it's more expensive if you pay on the day. We went to Padstow another day (probably same distance), we visited St Ives and parked at a railway station called St Erth. You park the car and it's pay and display in the station car park. The car park was full so we parked down the road and walked up to the station. A return ticket for a family of 4 was £8. The train is every 30 mins and the journey which is very picturesque, takes 10 mins, right into St Ives. The beach is lovel and we sepnt the afternoon there. We also drove into Bude which is 5 mins drive from the site. There is a Morrisons. Bude is lovely and very picturesque. We had a picnic alongside the canal then walked up to the beach. The shops are very nice too. All in all we had a great stay and visited some lovely places. Would definately recommend the site and would go back in the future.
Disliked There was nothing we disliked with this site. Everything was to a very high standard.
