Winter electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch (seasonal)
Liked Great site, good views, level and well spaced out. No facilities over the winter, which we knew and was very clear. Good walks from the site

Barn Owl electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked This is a great site in a lovely location. Only one hardstanding pitch, tucked away with a lovely view. Pitches were very spaced out. Great set up with a games barn plus a snug and all the amenities you could need. Lots of local knowledge provided. About 20 min walk to Amroth beach although it's a steep walk back up in places. We cycled to both Saundersfoot and Pendine Sands (be warned, very hilly!), c40-50 mins, all very picturesque. Paid the extra to be green camping members (required) but still price comparable and gives access to other sites for the rest of the year. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Didcot, Oxfordshire, England
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Our second weekend in a row to stay here, love the large, flat and peaceful field. Liked the c3 mile walk through the fields into Wallingford. Did try and walk to the South Moreton pub on the way back but failed to find the right route! We are told it can be done though, or there's the Bear just a few minutes walk from the site. Relaxed arrival/departure time. We came via Didcot this time, which was a much better route for motorhomes.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Very large, flat field (no EHU), pitch where you like, relaxed arrival/departure times. Easy walk to a couple of pubs, longer c.3 mile walk through the fields to Wallingford, which was really nice, Jon helpfully provided us the info on this. Water/chemical waste/toilets (we didn't use the shower block), so everything you need. Just watch out for the cheeky kites hovering overhead eyeing up your breakfast!
Disliked Just for awareness, the route we took in has some very narrow roads/sharp turns, but fine for motorhomes, if you're slow and careful.

From the manager: Hello Andrea, Thanks very much for your review, it sounds as if you came in on the Fulscot road which is a bit windy, it's easier to take the second turning on right 1 mile past Tesco, much better! Happy camping, Jon
Marlborough, Wiltshire, England
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Flat pitches, forest walks from site, very quiet, option to walk into Marlborough (although we didn't do it, this time), friendly staff, really peaceful site. We didn't use the facilities, so can't comment on that. A 'choose your own' pitch site, although there were some with markers (not allocated). Would recommend and will hopefully be returning soon.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Well spaced, fairly flat pitches, good walks from the site, nice local pub, easy set up (just wasn’t aware that it was a choose your own pitch, based on what you had booked)
Disliked Not really a dislike but for awareness there was no contact with the owners. Toilet and shower facilities ok

Fully-serviced grass touring pitch
Liked Great site, short walk to local village (don't forget to get the gate code before you go down), generally flat pitches, helpful staff. Special call out to the tractor driver for getting us out of the mud, Merci Beaucoup!! Whilst a lot of services/facilities were unavailable, we know this is because we were out of season. Full electric (no adaptor needed for UK hook up cables). Hot water in the toilets.

Electric optional hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Single pitch with own toilet and table/chairs/firepit, edge of the forest, next to a stream, really peaceful, walks from the pitch. Vince was really helpful and pro-active. We had a great time.

Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England
Electric gravel touring pitch (small)
Liked Nice flat pitch, well spaced out, welcoming, great food in the pub, lots of flat walking options from site (most of which incorporate the source of the Thames). Pub gets busy so book a table for dinner.
Disliked Did say the pub would be open until 11 but they closed early, presumably because no one was there, so understandable.

Eyemouth, Berwickshire, Scotland
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Located well for the town only a 5 minute walk down the hill, great views over the coast, good facilities (although limited out of season if you're looking for activities linked to the park, which we weren't). Staff were friendly and helpful. Opportunity to see the seals in the harbour and (if it's open) the option to feed them.
Disliked Very exposed to extreme weather, which we were unfortunate to experience. Beware that all the dinner options in the town seemed to finish by 8pm.

Inverness, Highlands and Islands, Scotland
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Remote and quiet. If you got the top 4 spaces, it was good
Disliked Find your own pitch and crammed in down the bottom if you arrived late. No way near the 6m between pitches for safety and we felt we were reversing on top of the pitch next door just to park up. Be aware - bus stop c15 mins walk with no safe path to walk on, although road wasn't too busy

Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Quiet, although lots of pitches it was a good set up with the separate areas, individual cubicles with own shower/toilet/sink was a good set up, everything was clean and well looked after
Disliked Having stayed at quite a few different sites now, had no dislikes at all. To note for those that want to be connected, data/service is limited

Upton Upon Severn, Worcestershire, England
Electric grass pitch
Liked Walking distance to Upton-upon-Severn which is a lovely little village
Disliked On arrival there are 3 phone numbers on the gate. The first didn't answer, the second wouldn't connect and the third was reluctant to help when they did answer and only when we pushed them because we couldn't get hold of the other 2, did they say we could park wherever.
Communal EHU and free for all on the field space, which meant everyone was crowded around the electric. We paid for electric and ended up not being able to use it, as we didn't want to be squashed in between everyone else. Parked on the far side of the field instead, which everyone else was avoiding because of the road noise.
Chemical disposal was pretty disgusting, with an upturned traffic cone as a funnel and no way of rinsing the toilet cassette after.
No bin, which wasn't an issue for us but bin bags were just left to pile up.

Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Peaceful, lovely scenery, good walks, lots of nature, cows roaming wild on the common. Campers shower and combined toilet is through the stables (not well signed) but this is very minor. Would definitely come back.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Large, flat site, spacious pitches, clean and regular toilet cleaning. Hot water, washing up space. Goats and aviary. Easy access to canal walk. Local village close by/walking distance with good pub food. Quiet site (apart from the trains…).
Disliked Train line by pitches, which we knew from other reviews BUT they went ALL night, no break and tooted nearly every time…

Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England
Electric optional gravel touring pitch
Liked Nothing to consider as we didn’t actually get to stay
Disliked The fact that despite sending an email and leaving messages on both the land line and mobile, no one got back in contact with us when we tried to discuss rearranging the travel date.

Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Spaced out pitches, flat, quiet, easy walk to Stratford
Disliked Little bit confusing with different caravan clubs having different sections but fine once we worked out where we needed to be. Facilities were ok but men’s shower did flood all over the toilet floor.
