Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Location (in the Brecon Beacons, conveniently situated behind a pub/restaurant), Toilet/shower facilities (clean, lovely big cubicles and warm water), price (great value), generally quiet even though it's popular with families and dogs, the fact fire pits are allowed, also there's plenty to do in the area (both for free/cheap as well as more expensive). We visited Craig-y-nos Country Park (only paid for parking), Carreg Cennan Castle (we are Cadw members so was free for us to get in), and the Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary as well as Tretower Castle and Court (also Cadw). There is also Dan-yr-Ogof Caves and Zip World Tower which are more expensive attractions that are fairly close, of course there's plenty of walks/hikes in the area including Henrhyd waterfalls (National Trust).
Disliked Tiny little niggles:
Washing up area you had to keep pushing down on the tap to keep water running. Couldn't use washing machine and tumble dryer even though they're in the same room (would have been handy since it was very wet and windy during our stay, I'm sure the site could make quite a bit extra every season if they charged campers a small amount to use them).
Had to do a bit of asking around to source fire wood. There is a small convenience shop approx 200 yards away that usually has some, there's also another convenience shop in nearby Coelbren, otherwise there's Home Bargains approximately 10 minutes drive away down the A4067 in Ystradgynlais

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review. So glad you enjoyed. We don’t offer washing machine or tumble dryers for a reason. We’ve tried it in the past but it didn’t work out I’m in the process of adding an additional sink in the washing up room as a few reviews have mentioned thus.

Westmoreland 2 bedroom static caravan
Liked Quiet site, but that's what we like anyway. Had everything we needed, a lovely play area as well. It was close to shops and attractions. Easy to get to using postcode. Site manager/owner was friendly, we got an upgrade as well due to a cancellation in one of the higher bands. Free Wi-Fi was very useful on the wet evenings, and the complimentary scones, jam and cream were enjoyed, the Cornish way of jam first obviously
Disliked Honestly - just to be picky and because there's always room for improvement somewhere, the site was incredibly muddy, perhaps some paving slabs off the road to park cars on or a designated parking area would be better and safer, this would also prevent the owner having to add to his workload by pushing/towing cars out of the mud. 2 bulbs were out in our caravan but it was no big deal, could have happened anywhere.

From the manager: Great photos…Thank you for your review. Unimaginable UK wide rainfull but thankfully I’ve not had to tow any one as we use ground boards.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Toilets and showers, fire pit. Provided eco friendly soap and washing up liquid, sinks were a good size and water hot enough. Owners really friendly and helpful. Really easy to get to, signposted off the closest B road. The kids play area was a lovely thoughtful touch as well.
Disliked Being on a hill we did slip to the edge a bit, had to switch which end we slept in!

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Toilet/shower facilities (free hairdryer in particular), staff all seemed approachable, my daughter especially liked the animals. Very reasonable price compared to other sites I was looking at in the area, and it was by no means lacking in anything. Such a clear sky at night as well.
Disliked Noise from road and wildlife at night (nothing that a good set of noise reducing ear muffs couldn't sort for those needing quiet though I'm sure)
