Electric grass campervan pitch
Liked Was up in the top pitches. Very quiet with just some neighbours and cows for company. The facilities were spotlessly clean too.
Disliked Just the potholes on the road up to the top pitches.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked This was such a great site. It only has a handful of campervan/motorhome pitches which is great as it was so quiet and we were lying in bed listening to some owls have a chat with each other not far away.
The facilities block was absolutely spotless and had two toilets, two amazing showers, dishwashing sink, along with a washing machine and drier. Can't comment on the customer service as we never saw anyone but we did receive an email with directions etc.
We used this as a base for a weekend's adventure and Kielder Water is only a short walk over the viaduct.
Disliked Not one thing.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (maximum 8 metres)
Liked Great touring pitches with EHU and water supply on each. The facilities we used (toilets, showers, washing up area) were spotlessly clean and we coudn't find any faults with them. The bar in the mansion house was well stocked but could perhaps do with some comfier seating, perhaps sofas, just for that extra bit of comfort.
We have a no screen policy in our van but those looking for wi-fi should note it's free in the bar area but you need to pay in the touring area. Many campsites we frequent offer this free so it's worth factoring in if you need connection during your stay.
With only a 15 minute walk into Pooley Bridge this site is perfect for a base to explore The Lakes and at only 5 miles from the M6 it's very accessible.
Disliked Nothing at all.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Fantastic pitch on the site within the walls. You could hear a pin drop at night, it was that quiet.
The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean and I had a very warm welcome on my arrival.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked This site is in a great location in what feels like the middle of nowhere. We had a very friendly welcome and were shown directly to our pitch which was nice and level and not too close to neighbouring pitches.
The toilets and showers were very clean. It's worth pointing out that there is only one shower each in the mens and ladies but as this is a small site we never had to wait on anyone finishing theirs.
There are several farm animals on the site - goats, alpacas, Shetland pony, donkey, and a horse. Many of these are brought onto the site and donkey rides are offered for children but we were away for the day and never saw this.
There is a games room with table tennis and pool, neither require additional payment. There is also a sink area for washing up, cooker, and kettle available.
Disliked Nothing.
