Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Despite being fully booked it didn't feel crowded at all. People were nice and considerate. Bathroom/toilets nice and clean and great storages hangers in showers for all your stuff, even plenty of hairdryers.
Friday was Fish&Chips van which looked great. Another night they have a pizza van there. Reception was closed when we arrived but message and a map on the door told us exactly where to go, great.
Disliked Slight sloping in the middle of the tent pitches.
The lake was getting algae treated so we couldn't go near it...which is a shame as we wanted a walk around it. Unfortunate timing.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (wild)
Liked The owners, Sophie and her husband, were ever so welcoming. The plots are huge and far apart. It's a small campsite with only 6 plots for tents so that makes it more special and relaxing. We even booked a walk with their alpacas, that you can watch all day, and we learnt so much about them.

Non-electric forest floor tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Great back to nature place. Glenn, the owner, is very friendly. We even had our own firepit, bought wood onsite and enjoy watching baby swans and ducks. Our children even had a go at fishing thanks to Glenn and Billy, our young fishing instructor.
As for the facilities, bring drinking water with you. It's a simple, but tranquil place.
Disliked There is a train line next to the site and during the afternoon on Saturday it seemed busy. But no trains over night and early morning.
