Brilliant location, lovely pool, clean site with great facilities

The pod itself was great and bedding was included which I hadn’t realised. Plus you could park your car next to it.

The whole site is huge! Loved to pod area but honestly the holiday park with all the mobile homes was grim. Plus it was a v long walk to the reception / bar / pool AND you had to book time slots at the pool at 9am. Our pod was one of the furthest away so it was a v long walk to the toilet / shower block and there was no way of getting water nearby. The shower block wasn’t v clean and the floor was wet, even in the toilets.

The pool and the entertainment

Kids loved swimming and the play area. Stayed in a pod which was perfect for us and easy walking to the beach.

No option to book swimming online so had to queue in the morning which feels like a waste of time.

The bright far sky over the glamping field and the quiet; the hot generous showers; good clean toilets; lovely little pods with space to stand; comfortable bed; close to sea.

It would have been even better to have been provided with a kettle or given a choice to rent one for pound: it's nice to be able to make tea.

We loved the glamping pods, they were clean and organised and quite comfortable for the 3 of us.

How far the toilets and showers were for us, our pod was up on the hill, there should at least be some temporary toilets, even if it's just portabloos. These would e very handy at night.

There are no signs to help us get from reception/pub/pool to the location of the pods. We got lost many times and we had to drive to get there each time. It was worse at night when we had come back from a night outside of the resort.

Great conditions, friendly staff, warm and nice swimming pool and young toddlers friendly.
A great place to make memories with the young ones 😊

Only thing that let it down was the toilet facilities. As a single mum, the baby changing facilities near the pods were less than ideal. It was just a small shelf and the cubicle was tiny so couldn’t fit the pram. Every time I wanted a wee or to have a wash I had to leave my little one in the pram outside and leave the door open which wasn’t very nice. The toilet block also didn’t seem to be cleaned often, the toilets were regularly blocked and the toilet roll holders were falling off

Glamping Pod was really nice and bed were comfy. However please see below for cleanliness issues. Glamping Pod field and play park were in a beautiful setting.

Where do I start....Glamping Pod was dirty. Dust and hair everywhere. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned. Rubbish all around the pod and used tissues.Tried to phone reception but no answer. Spoke to them through next day face to face and they offered to get it cleaned. We'd unpacked and settled by then so politely declined as it would mean moving everything in the rain. I tried to clean it myself but the broom was disgusting. Full of hair.
Surfaces (bedside table and the dining chairs) were filthy with old food and things spilled on them.
Camping toilets and showers not cleaned from 3pm until gone 10am the next day! Spoke to reception. They said they should have been cleaned at 6am but the following day same again. 10am and still absolutely filthy. Didn't see a warden cleaning the whole time I was there.
Had to go use the bar toilets and as my daughter's reg.disabled we tried to use their disabled toilet which was also dirty. Asked for it to be cleaned and used the ladies instead. Then came back and hour later- disabled still not cleaned!

Honestly, not had issues with dirty toilets in any other campsite. Your facilities have really let this place down Golden Sands! Your toilet block needs an upgrade. One cubicle doesn't shut, no where to hang clothes when showering, toilet roll holders hanging off where they don't shut anymore. Grim.
Glad I didn't pay for WiFi. A glitch meant it let me on! Thank goodness as I could see it wasn't worth paying 14.99 for! It never worked.
