What customers say
Lovely, quiet spot. Handy for hot springs, golf & hotel. Food's grand. Hot springs a big plus, some saw glow-worms! Staff are sound, check-in's a doddle. Downsides: loos are a bit knackered, hygiene's iffy, showers weak, some toilets & soap missing. Site's dark, power cuts, and muddy after rain.

Disorganised staff but we were self sufficient so still enjoyed it
Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Campsite very pretty and peaceful- didn’t use facilities as fully self contained. Pools warm and easy access from campsite
Disliked Booked online but they thought I was coming the following day despite online receipt showing correct details. Campsite requires a key but were reluctant to. Give us one as it was their last and said it probably wasn’t locked - but it was. When leaving they had no record of weathered had paid and on returning the key the next morning they thought it belonged to someone else .

Had to try 4 electric points before we found one that worked ?

Disliked Camping facilities need a lot of work to make them decent and useable, also very basic changing/shower at the springs.

Go if you dare! Self contained only maybe!
Electric hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked Setting. Convenient for Hobbiton. Friendly staff at hotel. Did not visit hot springs so cannot comment.
Disliked Booked hardstanding. Couldn’t see any designated pitches in fact it was difficult to find electric hook up points stuck on side of sheds which turned out to be facilities. So on grass. This site is really no more than an area of grass accessed by locked gate ($30 deposit for key). Tall trees so lots of shade. The facilities were terrible. I’d have rated 0/10 if option available! Absolutely nil investment from owners who must think people with own fully self contained vans won’t mind. Cannot describe how bad. I would not use the one shower!! Other vans on site (2-3) had appearance of long-stayers, maybe even lived in full time.
