Spacious pitches, a spotless holiday home for relaxation. Great playgrounds & pool (though some found the pool cold/unclean). Pitch layout, limited shop/reception, and fry stand closure were minor gripes. Reception hours could be better.

Edelhert 2 bedroom cottage / chalet / bungalow (four person, air conditioning)

Liked De vakantiewoning was erg netjes en schoon. Alles werkte naar behoren. Perfecte uitvalbasis voor natuur en ontspanning.

Disliked Koekenpan waarvan de antiaanbaklaag beschadigd is.

Liked Zeer goede faciliteiten voor kinderen: uitstekende en zeer grote speeltuin en een geweldig zwembad incl kinder badje.

Voorzieningen waren erg schoon en makkelijk in gebruik.

Disliked Zwembad had iets meer schoongemaakt kunnen worden, maar het was niet overmatig meer tov andere zwembaden in open lucht.

Jammer dat de friettent dicht was.

Liked Pladsen lå dejligt med en lille by tæt på. Legepladsen var god.

Disliked Poolen var beskidt og der var helt åbent ind til den, så vores mindste kunne ikke rende selv på legepladsen, selv om vi lå lige ved siden af. Receptionen var meget lidt åben og kun på mærkelige tidspunkter, som vi ikke kunne finde nogle steder.

Apeldoorn (20 minutes’ drive) mainly rose to fame for being home to Paleis Het Loo (25 minutes), but it’s got plenty to brag about as the largest city in Veluwe. If you’re itching to know about the local national parks, begin by sizing up Veluwezoom National Park (25 minutes), the oldest national park in Holland. It has country houses, farms, estates and more than a few stunning trails past sand drifts and forests. If it’s sand drifts you’re after, the largest drifting sand area in western Europe is in Het Kootwijkerzand (25 minutes). Grab one of the recognisable (and free) white bicycles in De Hoge Veluwe National Park (15 minutes) to explore the forest and heath on two wheels. In the park, the Kröller-Müller Museum (25 minutes) has the largest private Van Gogh collection on the planet.
