Planning a peaceful trip to south-west France? Domaine de la Chapelle en Correze is a quiet site surrounded by the countryside. In the southern part of the Corrèze department, it is a 15-minute drive from Brive-la-Gaillarde. The views here are spectacular day and night, over the surrounding hills and meadows by day and with clear skies for stargazing as dusk falls. Find your favoured spot around the spacious grounds, lay down a picnic blanket and get ready for a seriously peaceful vibe for hours on end. The standard of facilities are great too. There's a spacious outdoor pool (open during high season only and subject to weather conditions) that guests can use for free. Test your skills at the pétanque court or be virtuous and use the small gym to keep up your elegant looks. Kids have a playground with ping pong tables and a trampoline at which to bounce balls or their small selves around. When it comes to cooking, barbecues are allowed and there are plenty of picnic tables at your disposal for alfresco meals too.

  • The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
  • No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • The outdoor swimming pool is open between 15/06 and 01/10 (subject to weather conditions).
  • Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.
  • Bookings must not be for more than 25 consecutive nights.
  • Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
  • Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
  • No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.
  • Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
  • There is no reception on-site: on arrival please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.

Liked El trato, muy amable. La dueña del camping (olvidé el nombre) fue muy amable y acogedora. Habla castellano perfectamente.
El sitio increíble y la piscina y la zona de ocuo perfecta. Tienen un Ping pong con el que entretenerse mucho.
Los baños muy limpios a excepción de ella… la araña😉

Disliked Como puntos de mejora:
- poner un cubo de basura en los fregaderos (evita atascos) 😂
- iluminar las parcelas algo más, así evitas que te coman los mosquitos si estás tomando el fresco.
- intentar hacer descender la población de mosquitos y bichitos. Al atardecer era difícil estar fuera…. Se te comían.

Liked What a find! This is a wonderful place, expertly run by Vincent and Maud. The pool and views are as beautiful as the photos show. Although there were several families staying it never felt overcrowded and we couldn't get enough of the pool and wonderful views. The children's play area and petanque pitch are so well set up - everything has been thought of. Super toilet / shower block which was spotless and very modern.

Local attractions

This lovely land is a haven for walkers, cyclists and anglers, among quiet countryside, rivers, waterfalls and gorges, castles, markets and scenic French villages like Collonges-la-Rouge, Turenne and Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne. Corrèze's biggest town, Brive-la-Gaillarde, is about 15 minutes from the site and has a market three times a week. About 20 minutes out of town is the gulf of Fage, an ancient abyss with caverns of up to 20 metres and thousands of bats nesting in the winter months. Or stay close to home with an amble around local town La Chapelle-aux-Brocs, a couple of minutes' drive or about 15 minutes' walk away. Hot air ballooning is available within a short drive of here, at Turenne. Department capital Tulle is 22 kilometres from Brive-la-Gaillarde and Sarlat is just under 40 kilometres away.
