What customers say
A lovely spot with great views and a friendly owner. Peaceful, good value, though facilities are a bit dated & washing-up lacks hot water. Near Conwy, wildlife aplenty. Road noise and waste disposal are minor drawbacks.

The 3-night stay was brilliant, a good site for simple no-fuss camping
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked My son and I had a lovely 3-night stay here. It is exactly as they describe the site, with minimal facilities that provide a simple camping experience in a beautiful part of North Wales. When we arrived, there were a good number of others using the site, but they all left the next day, and we had the site to ourselves, with just a couple of other users across the remaining two nights of our stay. The shower and toilet facilities are clean and functional, with nothing particularly outstanding about them, but this is a minimal camping site. We found this to be an excellent base for exploring the Welsh North West Coast and the Snowdonia mountain range.
Disliked I recommend using hardstanding tent pegs, as the ground under the initial couple of inches is likely to contain a significant amount of slate or other rock. We used 9-inch standard tent pegs and bent a number of them. It can be tricky getting out onto the main road, as the entrance is on a corner, and visibility in both directions on a 60mph road is limited. It's not a very busy road, but it felt a little hairy at times.
