What customers say

Brilliant campsite! Immaculate facilities, stunning views, peaceful vibe, and great pitches. Staff are super friendly. WiFi can be iffy, and access is a bit tight, but everyone loved it and wants to come back.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Everything about this site was great. As first time Motorhomers it was a fantastic experience.
Shower/Toilet facilities were always spotless with great water temperature and pressure.
The addition of the dish washing area was a welcome bonus.
Excellent WiFi too.
The site itself was peaceful, surrounded by beautiful scenery and within an easy distance of local attractions.
The hosts were so warm and welcoming. We misjudged our travel time (pfft amateurs!) so arrived later than planned and we were still met with a big smile. They were always on hand to assist us rookies and we will be ever grateful for their knowledge and expertise.

Electric grass pitch (large)

Liked Arrived to find our pitch number in reception, easily located. Ideal pitch, electric and water next to the tent. Visited shortly after arrival by Lyndsey, asking if everything was OK with our spot.. It was, and if we needed anything else, to call her. We never, as all good.
Great location, near coast and Snowdonia. Aldi 10 mins away for shopping.
Others have already commented on showers etc. Excellent. There is also a chest freezer and large fridge for campers use.
We chose to go after the kids went back to school, the site was lovely and quiet.
Would definitely return and recommend to others.
We only went to chill out, had 3 BBQs, local walks and visit to coast. Watched films and early nights.

Route directions

Using a satnav is not recommended, as they often take you through narrow country lanes. From Abergele town centre, head west towards Llanddulas. At the end of the castle wall, turn left for Rhyd-y-Foel. Go through the village, then take the second lane on the left, signposted for the site. The park entrance is the first turning on the left.

Local attractions

Can't wait for the coast? It's 10 minutes' drive to Abergele’s beach or 15 to get to the sandy stretch at Colwyn Bay. If you like a bit of activity while you're there, there’s a seafront cycle path in Abergele, or you could tackle one of the great walks around the Great Orme headland in Llandudno (20 minutes). A cable car and tramway head to the summit if your legs don't fancy the hike. A short way back from the coast (20 minutes’ drive) is the place to meet all manner of animals at the Welsh Mountain Zoo; a similar length of drive should get you to the National Trust-owned Bodnant Garden to stroll through 80 acres of plants gathered from around the world. If it's castles you're after, tick several off your list with visits to Bodelwyddan (15 minutes), Rhuddlan (20 minutes), Conwy (20 minutes) and Caernarfon (45 minutes). Snowdonia National Park's a splendid place for a day or few too – head to Llanrwst (half an hour) or Betws-y-Coed (35 minutes) for walks, or Gwydir Forest Park (50 minutes) for mountain biking.
