  • Well-maintained, peaceful site on a 22-acre Ceredigion smallholding
  • A 10-minute drive from Llangrannog beach and village
  • Colourful, well-equipped shower block with lots of upcycled features
Glyncoch Isaf Farm Campsite is a small, well-maintained site on a 22-acre smallholding in the Ceredigion countryside, 15 minutes’ drive from Llandysul. This is a splendid spot in which to settle for days out on the West Wales coast – the little seaside village of Llangrannog is about 10 minutes’ drive away, as is the Ceredigion Coast Path. Cardigan, Aberaeron and New Quay are all within a 20-minute drive too, putting guests within easy reach of several fine beaches, dolphin-spotting boat trips and adventurous activities such as coasteering. Facilities on site include a funky shower block, all done up with colourful upcycled bits and bobs and equipped with such things as baby change facilities, mirrors and hot showers. As well as that, there’s a covered washing-up area, an Elsan waste disposal point and a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Guests who are intrigued by the smallholding’s goings-on can take walks around parts of the site and meet some of the resident animals on request. If you declare it not really to be wandering-about weather, the folk on site have set up covered communal areas to retreat to, and provided a firepit that all are welcome to gather round to warm their paws. Speaking of paws, dogs are welcome to join you on your jaunt to this site as long as they promise to be well-behaved while they’re here (and they're allowed in to Llangrannog's two pubs too…)

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Lovely campsite, friendly owners and the bonus of the farm animals the children. Has the barn with pool and other games to keep them busy. The bonus of a goal in the electric field, well used by all the holidaying children. Loads of fire pits to use as well. Easy access off the main road. Fab site.

Bell tent

Liked: Lovely campsite, booked a bell tent and it was a beautiful set up, great amenities, close drive to beautiful beaches. Campsite well looked after and hosts really helpful.

Disliked: Would be good if the bell tents had an option for electric hookup.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Excellent facilities including a really lovely play area. Lots of different animals on site to see and lots of space for children to play. Leanne and team were very friendly and the site and toilets and showers very well kept and clean. Firepits and logs were available to borrow and buy which was lovely in the evenings. Such a lovely location with many beautiful beaches nearby.

Disliked: For people with long hair or not very compliant children when it comes to showers be aware that you may need longer than 5 min shower that £1 buys which adds up if there are several of you.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay. It's family-friendly, and it was great to see all the children playing together and having a nice time. The pitches are all level and a good size, the shower cubicles are very generously sized (as a 6ft2 man I was very thankful for this!), the play area is different to your standard swing-set, and being able to see the farm animals was a bonus. Fire pits were available and logs were available to buy if needed. Lauren and the team there were all really helpful and professional. They were very accommodating and happy to share local knowledge, such as the best places to eat out, best route to the beach etc. Would definitely stay here again if we returned to the area.

Disliked: There was nothing we disliked about the campsite.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Everything. We were welcomed as we arrived and given a choice of where to pitch our tent, near the football area or further away next to the hedge. Offered a fire pit (we had our own) and told we were welcome to explore and ‘make ourselves at home’. Great campsite that was level and even (important for tents!) with football goal, barn with sofas, pool table and giant connect 4. A fantastic play area and of course all the animals that we could visit. Plenty of stuff to do! The site was very clean and I don’t think I have ever been able to say that the showers were decent, but they were here. It’s a small charge for the showers but it was worth it! There were also fridges, a microwave and toaster although we didn’t use them. Leanne and her family have thought a lot about the needs of her campers and tried her best to meet them, she was lovely and was available for whatever was needed. Thanks so much, we’ll see you again!

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Shepherd's hut

Liked: Excellent communication. Great location. Clean. Loved the Shepherds hut that we stayed in overlooking the fields with horses. Private shower, toilet cubicle next to it with plenty of space to dry clothes after a day on the beach. Great place for kids to roam around the farm to meet the various animals and play area. Will definitely be staying again.
