Surrounded by glorious County Donegal views, Finn Farm Camping has a peaceful farm location near the rural town of Ballybofey, and is in pole position for long, peaceful ambles in woodland and more strenuous hikes in the hills – bring any canine companions along to join in the fun too. It’s all very relaxed out here, with just a few wild-camping pitches on level grass fields. Facilities are minimal, but there are showers and a drying room so you can clean up after country walks and dry out your clothes if the weather turns sour on you. The helpful campsite team is on hand to make your stay easy and relaxed – in fact if you’re feeling a bit tense after travelling, book soothing yoga sessions on arrival. When you’re feeling suitably chilled, you could try your hand at art lessons too, also bookable on arrival. Ballybofey (five minutes’ drive) is the spot to pick up foodie bits and pieces for the barbecue, and if your not feeling that self-catering vibes there’s a host of shops, bars and nightlife – you might even come across some traditional Irish music in some of the pubs.

Liked: Nothing.

Disliked: It was nothing like photos.
It’s a farm yard full of junk and scrap metal.
The only others staying said that the toilets were hideous.
We did not stay…not safe for children and not hygenic for anyone.
This site should be removed from pitchup.

Liked: We had a wonderful time staying at the camping site! It is difficult to decided what to explore, since the area around does offer a lot! The nature around there is just incredible for hiking trips!
Thanks again to our host, who gave us some ideas for hiking trails!
All in all we had a lovely time there and would definitely like to comeback!

Liked: La situation est bien placée.

Disliked: L arrivée laisse à désirer. Le site semble non entretenu. Mais comme il y avait vraiment beaucoup de vent et que nous avons une tente sur le toit nous n avons pas pu y rester. Donc pas le temps de tester les équipements mais nous avons regardé rapidement et cela n avait pas l air engageant comparativement à aux autres campings testés.

Lovely surroundings.
Eddie the owner was friendly

Disliked: The large dogs are a bit too friendly.
The powered pitches are not accessible enough in the green area. They are too close to the driveway.

Liked: Nice patio, to keep dry while cooking and eating (with fridge). Common room with open fire to keep warm. Nice people once we’ve found them :D

Disliked: No reception/ hard to get a hold of the owner. Free running big! dogs, no one really held them back.

Liked: Peaceful site. Friendly dogs wandering about. Good (16amp) power supply.

Disliked: No chemical disposal point. No grey water disposal point. Dirty toilets in a rusty old freight container. Was informed by the staff that the tap water was unsuitable for drinking and we should buy bottled water: this turned to be false - it was just that they didn’t like the taste of the water.
