There’s quite a spectacular choice of things to do from Polborder Holidays, a small, quiet site in the peaceful hamlet of Bucklawren in Cornwall. Do you take the five-minute drive to the seaside town of Looe to take a boat trip, go kayaking or take a dip at East Looe beach? Do you stroll 25 minutes down the lane to the South West Coast Path to walk to Looe instead, or perhaps go in the opposite direction to Seaton Beach? Surrounded by sloping Cornwall countryside, it should be quite clear already that Polborder Holidays is an excellent base for all sorts of adventures. It’s a 20-minute drive from the spectacular miles of sand at Whitsand Bay on the Rame Peninsula, and a little further on is the naval town of Plymouth (40 minutes’ drive). Head northwards instead, and within a 20- to 30-minute drive, guests can reach stone circles, a granite tor and waterfalls on Bodmin Moor. If you can’t quite tear yourself away from the coast, the site is nice and close to old fishing villages with tiny cottages and smugglers’ tales; Polperro is a 20-minute drive, and Fowey is 40 minutes away. On site, there are immaculately maintained facilities including an amenities block with handwashing basins, shaving points, hair dryers and ample showers and toilets. This is not the type of place with an on-site pub or club; peace and quiet are of the utmost importance. After strolling down local country lanes or the coastal path, this is a base where you should find it easy to properly unwind.
