What customers say

Spectacular, peaceful views of Falmouth Bay, loads of space. Facilities are basic but clean. Some found showers cold/inconsistent, lacking soap. Great location for Falmouth/walks, friendly staff. Good value, would return.

Non-electric grass and earth pitch

Liked Such a beautiful spot, the views were stunning over Falmouth and harbour.
The setup here is all you need for a happy camping experience.
Check in super simple, i returned my text from Nicola to say we are here!
We chose our own spot, depending on how far away from the facilities you want to be and the wind direction.
Facilities block was very clean, electric kettle, fridge freezer for communal use.
Local information board and packs put together.

Showers just warm enough to have a full shower and wash long hair!

Disliked Not a dislike, but site is a bit out of town, you would need to drive or get a taxi back in the evenings.

Non-electric grass and earth pitch

Liked Lovely view from the field, slightly sloped at the end but we didn’t mind, easy to find and we got to meet the landlords the same evening. Clean and well maintained kitchen, showers and toilets.

Disliked Not a dislike about the place- just a general sentiment about the other guests we were unfortunately sharing the space with- our shampoo and other guest’s shampoo has been stolen from the bathrooms. Perhaps lesson learned to not leave anything unattended for even a moment!

Electric grass and earth pitch

Liked The campsite was well managed, kept and the services provided were clean and sufficient. The view of the sea and location was great, 5/10 minute drive from the supermarket and beaches local to Falmouth. Sunset was stunning from the location and a great view of the stars (including the Milky Way) on a clear night.

Disliked Nothing really to complain about, maybe the temperature of the showers could have been a little warmer? Just to set the day straight after a nights camping.

I asked my 12 year old and she has expressed she’d like to see an area to play and socialise with other kids, like a park. And the amount of spiders in the toilets and showers. The toilets and showers are regularly cleaned and cleanliness upheld through the day, I explained that clearing spiders might be a bit of never ending task, which she replied but so is cleaning public toilets. I had no come back…

Oh I did see a long wheel based caravan get stuck and bottom out whilst attempting to take the narrow turning up the hilled road to the campsite…. The lady had said she wasn’t aware and doesn’t recall seeing anything on the website of restricted access to the site. It’s not a personal dislike but please be aware that access to the site might not be suitable for your vehicle/caravan/trailerhome

Local attractions

The National Maritime Museum Cornwall, overlooking the harbour in Falmouth, displays among other things a collection of small boats from all around the world – from dinghies and lifeboats, to outrigger canoes. Medieval jousts take place throughout the summer at Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII on a rocky headland. Green-fingered visitors make a beeline for splendid green hubs such as Trebah Garden and National Trust Glendurgan Garden (both 10 minutes’ drive). The latter spreads across three valleys and has a cherry laurel maze planted almost two centuries ago (1833). Trebah is renowned for its collections of rhododendrons and camellias. For other days out, take a ride on the Helston Railway (25 minutes), spend the day exploring Truro (25 minutes) or get out onto the gorgeous Lizard Peninsula to see places like Gunwalloe Church Cove Beach (35 minutes) and Kennack Sands (45 minutes).
