Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Lovely little campsite. Clean and very well managed. Site manager did regular rounds and was very helpful. Selling freshly made pizza on site in the evenings was a lovely added bonus! Was able to accommodate our large family group very promptly and easily. Booking was a breeze! We slept very comfortably and site was very peaceful throughout the night.

Disliked Only points I would say are that the campsite is on a bit of a hill/slant this wasn't a major issue but was definitely noticeable in the tent. Nothing they can really do about this, just worth being aware of it for tent/caravan placement when you set it up. Also they close the play area at 8pm. We personally felt that it would have been better to shut it at 9pm in the summer months, as it's still very light outside and all the kids tend to have a later bedtime when camping.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Really good facilities, the showers are lovely and hot, clean and large, very modern. Outside covered kitchen sinks x 2 for washing up using kettles for boiling the water. This was great as we made ourselves a cup of tea and hot chocolate using our own hot chocolate and tea bags. There are fridges and freezers and somewhere to charge your mobile phones.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Very warm welcome, lovely area locally to explore, very well maintained, clean showers and toilets, lovely play park for the kids, lovely coffee on site!

Disliked Some noise from the nearby main road overnight if you pitch up on that side of the field.

Lovely well-proportioned campsite, just far too noisy due to the road

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked we had a great time at Cedar Gables. It’s a small site but perfectly proportion it’s great that you can take the trail to Bewl water, I’ll be through some overgrown pathways or farmers fields. The campsite itself has clean facilities for showering and washing up. It wasn’t much to the playground, but the kids had fun meeting up with fellow children there. The host was very helpful and friendly and supportive.

It is very well located for Scotney Castle, Bewl Water and Bedgebury forest

Disliked The only dislike and unfortunately this is quite a key one for me is the noise from the A21. You wouldn’t imagine that it would be so busy day and night, but it really is and the road noise takes away from the overall camping ambience and experience. When I think of camping I tend to think of sitting out in a relaxing environment on a nice summers evening listening to the wildlife but unfortunately on this campsite or you can hear is the never-ending infernal road noise. Obviously this is no fault of the owner but unfortunately is quite a considerable drawback of this campsite.
