What customers say

A quiet, no-frills spot with plenty of room. Friendly owner, clean loos & showers. Campfires & games are a bonus. Some wanted more facilities & hot dishwater, but families and peace-seekers loved it.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked This was our first camping trip with my children and it was an absolute Joy. Hannah (the owner) was lovely and she was very helpfu.
Hannahs children give out marshmellows of an evening and unfortunately we were at the local pub having dinner (which was amazing), they made sure some marshmellows were left for us to enjoy with our campfire in the evening. Would definitely go back

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked We had a lovely stay with Hannah. A busy single mum, just doing it her own way. Running from left to right over the campsite, literally doing everything she can to make us having the best time.
Simple but clean campsite. Perfect for the adventurous families.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked A basic but lovely site provided all that we required for a peaceful period away.
The owner could not have been nicer, nor could she have been more helpful. The option to have a fire pit; milk; eggs; icecream added a nice touch to the site.
The toilets and showers and washing up facilities were basic however, we very clean at all times.
There was also a marquee for the use of all containing a sofa; picnic benches; table-tennis table; air hockey table; badminton and other ball games. This made a pleasant alternative when the weather was not so great.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked We liked the environment and when we visited the pitches were evenly spaced out.
We liked the outdoor seating area with the games area as well. The shower was hot but not much area to hang up dry clothing.

Disliked We did wonder why the scent from the toilet area was quite strong in the morning - presumably being flushed.
There was no hot water for washing up.
The silent time at 9pm made it impossible to.have a conversation easily as normally the quiet time in many camp sites would be 10.30am.
But we liked the beauty of the campsite.
