This is a small, friendly and family-run pop up site on a small holding.

Fir Flats is an idyllic location for a peaceful, rural break near the village of coniston and alongside coniston lake. Not even a five minute walk to the shore of coniston water, the land itself is based alongside monk coniston car park at the head of the lake. Multiple walking destinations and routes around. No groups allowed a friendly, family site with noise restrictions from 10pm but please be respectful with noise at anytime. Raised bbq’s allowed no fire pits. Portaloos on site but no other facilities.

Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).
Bookings must not be for more than 3 consecutive nights.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.

A brisk 20 minute walk to the village of coniston or 5 minute drive for the bakery and groceries and meat from a family-run butcher and grocer. The village also has multiple pubs, which serve food, plus a restaurant, cafés, a petrol station, a post office, and gift shops. Quiet, well-behaved dogs are welcome on site although they must be kept on leads due to sheep and lambs over the fence line.
