Golfing, going to the beach, or maybe getting out for a forest walk… it’s all going on around Gralyn's Caravan Park, a quiet little Suffolk site just outside the village of Eyke and 10 minutes’ drive from Woodbridge. From here it’s an easy amble to the trails of Rendlesham Forest, a 20-minute drive to the splendid Suffolk coast beaches at Aldeburgh and Thorpeness, and a five-minute drive/15-minute bike ride to Sutton Hoo. Other top-notch activities can be had nearby too: there are two golf courses within a 10-minute drive, fishing lakes less than five minutes away and river boat trips around 25 minutes away. Plus, of course, that most excellent of rural activities: the pub trip, which can be had at the end of a mile-long half-hour walk. Back at base, there’s a warm welcome for all who’d like to come and stay here: the site has been set up to be accessible to less mobile guests, it’s got play areas for the smaller travellers and it’s happy to have dog companions along too.

Lovely, quiet site run by sound people. Spotless loos and showers, well-stocked shop and a cracking kids' play area. Handy for sights, but watch the main road's lack of footpaths. A grand time had by all, most want to come back!

Liked Very friendly staff, very welcoming,well maintained and big enough for children to run safely and not disturb everyone else. Seems like they have a good little community going on. Good play area with a shop that does very basic get you out of a situation.

Disliked Would like to see maybe a safer route in and outfrom the play area. If you are in main field you cannot see or watch your children at the play area and it's at the entrance where you check in and kids would have to walk and follow that road back to the main camping field.

No issues using 20p for two minutes with the showers but be prepared to freeze if your money runs out and have to put another 20p in, you are waiting at least 30 seconds again for it to warm up. So you really only get about half a minute of shower time. But I discussed this with the owner and was very welcoming and potentially making some changes in the future Future.

It may be worth just making sure and pushing the whole make sure you've got 20p for the showers. Write the very beginning so we don't get to the evening and wanna have a shower and we can't.

Liked Friendly, helpful greeting on arrival. Very quiet site but close to Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge and other attractions in this area. Clean toilets and showers in what looked like recently refurbished building. On pitch fresh water and electric hook up. A small shop for essentials.

Disliked No grey waste disposal

Liked Friendly helpful owner, little onsite shop had the essentials , which was great as our mallet broke and was thankfully a supply in the shop 😀 at a very reasonable price. Lovely quiet site.showers and toilets nice and clean.

Disliked No immediate dogs into nearby footpaths, had to walk along the roadside to reach an area to let the dogs off the lead for a run around. Which was a little difficult as one of our dogs is old and slow now. However it was probably no more than a 15 -20 min walk to reach it.

Great campsite, we'll definitely be back.

Liked Friendly staff, flat pitch. Nice and peaceful.

Disliked Showers and toilets could be cleaner, shop very limited stock (no alcohol or lemonade)

Liked Great spaces and clean showers and toilets..the owner was really helpful and friendly. Good location near Sutton Hoo. There was a food place but we didn't use it.

Disliked Didn't dislike but fact that shower needed 20p pieces to run I wasn't aware of before. Probably in the description and I didn't clock. Not many showers but I didn't ever have a problem.

We will definitely return to this site on a regular basis now.

Liked Very welcoming reception
Host was so lovely
Site is small which is great for a quite stay.
Very well kept and plenty of toilets. Shower was perfect and washing up/ cooking facilities provided was a nice touch.
Shop on site for supplies and hot food available.

The Easter egg hunt for the children was amazing and included in our stay.

Disliked Nothing.

Stayed in our MH next to our daughter and family in their caravan.

Get over to Rendlesham Forest (45 minutes’ walk/five minutes’ drive), where you can amble along a three-mile trail with info about the woods' intriguing past. For a further delve into history, walk the walls of sprawling Framlingham Castle (20 minutes' drive) or head to Sutton Hoo estate (five minutes), home to a seventh-century royal burial ground, an exhibition of ancient finds and a full-sized Anglo-Saxon ship sculpture. Swing by in summer and you’ll often find history themed goings-on in progress around the estate or in the open-air theatre. Also very much worth a visit are the beaches of the Suffolk coast: it’ll take around 20 minutes to drive to arty Aldeburgh, or 25 minutes to Thorpeness to hire boats to paddle around the Peter Pan-themed lake.
