Otter camping pod
Liked Lovely place to stay nice and peaceful would go again.
Disliked Wasn't told the hot tub wasn't working properly before paying for it.

From the manager: Just to reiterate there was no problem with the hot tub at all when you hired it.
The hot tub is not driven by electric therefore has no bubbles . Sorry if this was a problem for you, as this has never been questioned before by anyone.
Thanks
Ingrid and Dave

Otter camping pod
Liked Such a lovely quiet but busy site.
All facilities were fabulous.
The communal kitchen area was just perfect! Cosy, seating area.
Set in a beautiful landscape. Lots of little ponds, trees and a very pretty mere to walk straight out of the site onto with a circular walk around it.
Disliked Not a lot!
A double edge sword - doesn’t take children which in many respects was lovely but I’d love to go back as a family.

Definitely worth a visit. Great site, facilities and staff.
Otter camping pod
Liked Have stayed several times in the past and the setting is what draws us back time after time. We use the 'pods' as I'm too old to try and negotiate getting in/out of a tent!
The site itself is kept spotlessly clean by Ingrid and Dave can be seen looking after the upkeep of the pitches. The site has spacious pitches covering 4 fields with a mixture of camping, caravans, motorhome and pods. As an adults only site it is lovely and tranquil with plenty of walks starting from the site. There is the lake immediately on the edge of the site with walks that can vary from 20 minutes to around 4 hrs plus. Canal walk into Ellesmere too.
Our stay this time was for my husbands 70th birthday. I mentioned it to Ingrid in passing and she very kindly dropped off a lovely bottle of wine. Such a lovely, kind personal touch which was greatly appreciated but totally unexpected.
Another fantastic stay. We promise not to leave it too long before returning!

Excellent solo stay!
Otter camping pod
Liked My first time going anywhere for the night by myself with my two dogs and I couldn’t have been happier or more comfortable. I stayed in the Badger pod which was so cosy and thoughtfully put together, inside was a double wooden framed bed, a sofa, tv and kettle. The bed was super comfortable and the pod was so cosy! Everyone on site was really friendly and my two dogs had a lovely time. There is direct access to the lake walk from the site which was perfect. I will definitely be back!

What customers say
Colemere Caravan Park is lauded for its tranquil, adult-only vibe, stunning scenery, and direct access to Colemere lake and canal walks. Visitors love the roomy, tidy pitches, spotless facilities, and the communal space. Dave and Ingrid, the owners, are consistently called friendly and helpful. While the access roads can be tight and phone signal patchy, most agree it's a relaxing, nature-filled escape they'd love to repeat.

Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked Loved the pitch sizes and the free to choose a pitch you liked.
Loads of hot water at the sinks and showers.
Owners were fabulous and lovely to talk to.veey helpful on arrival.
Local scenic walks. Night time was veey quiet when I stayed
Disliked Phone signal was hit and miss.
But wifi was reachable areas closer to the amenities. Quite a few pitches were sloping. So advisable to take leveling blocks.
This wouldn't stop me from returning

Liked Great site and facilities, the toilet and showers are clean and kept stocked. Grounds are well maintained. Phone signals in the area are poor so expect to be off grid but WiFi is ok near facilities!
Disliked The toilet doors take some getting used to as they feel like you could be viewed whilst sat on them!

Amazing place with quiet quests so great for resting
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked This place was amazing. Very well maintained, lovely owners, peaceful and quiet with only birds to listen. Facilities were clean, communal space was lovely. We hired a firepit with wood and it was just amazing to sit by the fire quietly into the night with no partying people around. There is a lake just behind the fence and a great woodland and fields walking trail. Non electric pitches were unmarked and there was a lot of space so we had a choice to our liking. We really loved this place and will be back for sure.
