What customers say

A peaceful, tidy site with top-notch, modern facilities. Flat, ample pitches, handy for exploring Oxford & Blenheim. On-site cafe & local pub are big hits. Most found road noise manageable, though some mentioned it. Minor gripes included no hand soap in loos & occasional untidy pitches.

Liked Such a convenient stopover. Good loos and showers. We have been to the cafe before and it's lovely...but didn't go on this trip as it's closed on Mondays.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely facilities - toilet block spotlessly clean. (In Ladies side - 2 showers plentiful hot water, 2 toilets).

Smaller green field site - not too crowded.

Great looking and popular cafe the Milk Shed on site if you wanted to use it for breakfast/brunch or coffee and cake.

10 mins walk to a nice pub - the Ben Johnson. Dog friendly pub in bar area.

Friendly comms from the team via text.

Disliked Road noise from busy A road can be heard even throughout the night.

Electric grass pitch (water hook-up)

Liked The setting was nice , Village nearby with a lovely pub just a less than 10 minute walk.Situated at the Campsite was the Milk shed Cafe which was very nice no wonder they have won awards. It was lovely to see the horses on a few occasions. The facilities were clean and showers great
Would highly recommend this Campsite

Disliked The only thing I would mention is no ledge/seat in which to sit on when trying to get dried and dressed but could be easily sorted BUT certainly wouldn't put us off coming again .
I saw quite a few comments on previous reviews on the road noise but it's fine didn't really notice so please don't be put off .

Electric grass pitch (water hook-up)

Liked Space, easy check in, location, amenities, facilities are clean warm and more than enough for size of site.

Disliked Pitch not level but too be expected given it’s for tents / motorhomes / campervan.
No WIFI but I was fully aware of this and although it would be nice to have it is also nice to be off grid. Still had phone signal if required

Electric grass pitch

Liked Check in was really straightforward. We were travelling with other people and were given pitches next to each other which was great. The site was very flat. The toilet block was spotlessly clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Local attractions

Whether you’re into British history, spectacular architecture or elegant gardens, Blenheim Palace (15 minutes’ drive) has it all. This early 18th-century mansion was the birthplace of Winston Churchill, and its splendid interior includes the gilded Palace State Rooms, hung with family portraits. The gardens, laid out by Capability Brown, feature several themed areas, plus a maze. Besides handsome college buildings, Oxford (25 minutes) is home to the Ashmolean Museum, with displays such as an Egyptian sarcophagus, a samurai armour and world-class art – from Fra Angelico to Goya. Take a tour of the Bodleian Library, or visit Oxford Castle & Prison, from whose tower you can admire the city’s famed spires. Head to Chilterns National Landscape (half an hour) for long walks on chalky hills dotted with farming fields, ancient woodland and pretty villages. Red kites soar above National Trust - Watlington Hill, while colourful butterflies can be spotted at Bradenham Estate.
