  • Simple pop-up site on a Northamptonshire organic farm
  • Across the road from 2000 acres of forest for walks and bike rides
  • Easy access from the A6116; food pub 10 minutes' walk away
A rural camping experience without any country lanes to navigate? Take yourselves along to Glebelow Pop-up Campsite, set on a Northamptonshire organic beef and sheep farm. This handy location is just off the A6116, so it’s fabulously easy to access. The trade-off is a bit of potential road noise, but there is a fair amount of privacy from the hedge and copse of trees that sit between the pitches and the road. Handily, you also won’t need to use the main road to walk to the local pub, which is 10 minutes away along a village road and serves up tasty food in a character-packed traditional inn. That pub is part of the village of Lowick, which is also home to Drayton House, one of the locations used for the movie Saltburn (a must-see for cult film buffs). From the village, a nice circular walk runs to Sudborough, passing fields of cows as you go. And if that’s not enough walking, a trail just across the main road leads to a whopping 2000 acres of forest (suitable for cycling as well as walks). This is a pop-up site so facilities are fairly simple, but you’ll have access to a toilet trailer and a tap for clean water. There are no showers on site, but it’s only a five-minute drive to the local swimming pool for a dip and a shower. The pool is in Thrapston, a market town that’s also your nearest source of shops, takeaways and other amenities. Barbecues are permitted on site, so stock up at the butcher while you’re in town.

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Price, views, excellent very clean toilet facilities.
Good communication from a friendly and helpful host.

Disliked: Poor nights sleep due to noise from busy main road.
Pitches and area surrounding could do with better grass cutting.

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Exactly as described on the advert.

Easy to find , good location.
Plenty of open fields and public footpaths to explore ( according to Strava I managed to walk 6 miles just wandering around).
Hosts were very helpful and friendly, I received a text message at half 9 of the morning I was due to arrive informing me that my pitch was ready .
There was a portable toilet block which was clean and fully stocked.

Disliked: The only " issue " I had was the traffic noise , but I am a light sleeper and it was mentioned in the advert but it was no worse than I was expecting, admittedly this was not the fault of the owners , it's just one of those things.
