Primitive grass and earth tent or RV campsite
Liked The location and scenery are quite wonderful. The site is level and the ground not too stoney for tent pegs. Reasonably quiet. Reasonably clean. Handy having a pub nearby.
Disliked The showers were hit and miss. If someone else was having a shower then it affected the water pressure in the other cubicles.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Small site surrounded by beautiful countryside and walks along the Wessex Ridgeway. Great location close enough to beaches. Owners are friendly. Good showers and clean toilets. Ice cream van came a few times in the week. Kelly's soft whip (what's not to like?).
Disliked Ground is full of flint so bring strong pegs and don't forget to pack a hammer.

From the manager: We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us, the countryside around us is beautiful and is very peaceful with some great walks. We try to make everyone welcome and try to make sure they have a great stay with us. Our new toilet block will be up and running within the next two weeks, the mobile one is ok bu tour new block is lovely. Ice cream is Jen's, she is amazing, great icecreams and very popular. Tip for hard ground, pour a bit of water in then hit the pegs in, should go in a little easier. Hopefully see you again soon.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Large plot +++. Very clean campsite. Green space to play on. Accommodating owners and staff. Quiet after 10:30ish. Surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful with lovely walks.
Disliked As mentioned on previous reviews - THE SHOWERS. My wife tried the shower and her experience put me off so I didn't bother. 50p for 5 minutes might be long enough if the showers were good but they are not. A dribble coming out of the shower head, the water varying from too hot to freezing cold. Even if you put in £1 you still only get 5 minutes and lose the other 50p. The money slot is outside the shower cubicle so if you want to get a longer shower you have to put your towel around you and open the door to pay. The block should have cubicles with sinks in so that you can wash in private.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked This is probably the most peaceful campsite we've ever stayed in. There was very little noise from the nearest main road. It is well laid out with plenty of space for everyone. Very handy having a kettle, toaster and microwave to use. The showers were good, with lots of dry space to get dressed in. The kids loved the goats and horses. It's very near to beaches and supermarkets.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Owner made us very welcome. We could choose our pitch and pitch sizes were large and level. Toilet block clean and had good showers with plenty of room to dress. Generally quiet after dark.
Great location - near to Harlech beach, Porthmadog and Snowdon. Good walks nearby.
Disliked Nothing. Will probably book for next year.

Primitive grass tent campsite (medium)
Liked Pitches had lots of space. Hot showers. Friendly staff. Great value for money. Good location.
Disliked Some of the campers were playing very loud music. It is a fishing campsite so if you are not fishing there is not much for children to do.

Romsey, Hampshire, England
Willows primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked We were give a pitch with loads of space (No. 83 if anyone wants to request it), plenty of room for our six berth tent. The campsite is very tidy and not oversized, with sheltered areas for tents. The showers are amazing, the best we've ever come across in a campsite, better than many hotels have. We didn't use the shop much so I can't really comment but it does have a post office. Staff were very friendly and sorted out any issues quickly.
Location is great, handy for The New Forest, Winchester, Salisbury, Portsmouth and Isle of Wight. Romsey is also a lovely little market town.
Disliked Although the site is good for those with young children, it's not geared up for those with older ones. Ours are 11 and 9 and they were a little bored after a couple of days. As it was we were out during the days so it wasn't too much of an issue.
