Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked An excellent campsite, the owners are very pleasant and cannot do enough for you,the showers and toilets are spotlessly cleaned every day, this is a predominantly caravan site with a field area for camping which is flat with the grass mowed and picnic tables provided,we also had electric hook up. On site is a beautiful well laid out fishing pool well stocked and great value. Saturday night is fish and chips night with a van calling at the site best fish and chips we had for ages,a short distance from Helmsley and Pickering and easy to get to Scarborough and Robin Hoods bay,I would thoroughly recommend this campsite, thanks to James and Dan.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Quite and peaceful site, our second visit, great location for walks over Chrome and Parkhouse hills also along the valley to Hartington via Pilsbury castle, the facilities are a work in progress but more than adequate, male and female each with two toilets and a shower, even over this hot weekend we never had to que for a shower, the Packhorse pub is only 500 yards away and is great for drinks and meals, Buxton is only 10 minutes drive away, very pleasant and easy going owners, would definitely recommend and use again.
Disliked Nothing at all.

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass campervan or tent campsite
Liked The location was beautiful, only three camping pitches available but we were the only campers there the whole four night stay, Maria, the lady who owned the site was most friendly and helpful, she was waiting for us when we arrived and explained the procedure for using the toilet and shower, we chose our pitch which was large and level and was equipped with a picnic table and best of all a fire pit, her young son dropped off a bag of logs the first night and Maria replaced our freezer blocks each morning, we couldn't ask for more, you have to be reasonably self sufficient at this campsite but that's what we expected from the outset, a big thank you to Maria (I do that's your name, sorry if it's not)and her family we had a very pleasant and peaceful experience, we would definitely recommend, once again thanks.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Described as a basic campsite, it had two showers, one male and one female and three toilets, being only a small Site and adults only even on a scorching weekend these coped well and were adequate, far better than our expectations, these were cleaned and restocked first thing in the morning by the lady who owned the site, Steve who managed the site was friendly and helpful and very laid back, the location of the site is fantastic with views of Chrome hill in the distance, and which you can walk to straight from the site, lots of other walks are available from the site, no need to move your car, Lathkill dale is only a 10 to 15 minute drive away. The site is also convenient for the Pack horse pub 250 metres away, we didn't eat there but the food looked very nice and good selection of beers, all in all a great site and would definitely recommend and use again.

Primitive forest floor tent campsite (wild, woodland, small)
Liked Despite the awful weather we had a great time, nice dry pitch in the woods close to the fishing on the match lake, I had 10 carp up to 8lbs, nice to be able to have a fire with the wood which you can purchase from the farm, good clean shower facilities, good simple camping, we would definitely recommend and use again.
